Casey Anthony smiled with delight as she was today sensationally cleared of the murder of her two-year-old daughter Caylee in one of the most controversial verdicts since the OJ Simpson case.
Crowds gasped outside the courtroom as the 25-year-old mother was found not guilty of drugging her young daughter, suffocating her and dumping her body in overgrown woodland after a compelling six-week trial, which has seen a family torn apart by accusations of rape and incest.
Stunned Anthony hugged defence attorney Jose Baez when the jury's verdict was read after only ten hours of deliberation. As the jury left, a relieved Anthony, who had been facing the death penalty burst into tears of delight.

May the entire Anthony family rot in hell. They did not seek justice for a innocent Caylee, but sold their souls to protect a lying POS.

She’s sure not easy to like.
That said, I think the jury probably just didn’t have enough proof to convict on homicide charges. The child’s body was in bad shape, so there wasn’t much evidence to get from it, and as for the testimony, the entire family and all their friends are so messed up that it was probably impossible for the jury to be sure of anything.
I really feel sorry for the jury, and I’m sure many of them are unhappy with the verdict but felt they couldn’t do anything else with reasonable certainty. It’s definitely not a case I would have wanted to be on.

Justice consists of TV watchin', pot smoking promoting, bike trail concerned disillusioned souls determining justice.
Keep your image out of the radar screen and defend yourself when necessary as an individual.

I think some of the have been watching too many TV crime shows. The evidence is never ambiguous on TV. It either nails the suspect or exonerates him. The real world has noisy data.
Why do family members protect the dysfunctional ones?
I’m not sure its controversial. Lots of folks, myself included don’t like it but it was never proven that she killed her daughter.
I know in my gut that she did but that isn’t enough.

That means the defense did their job well. Muddy the waters enough to create confusion and doubt.
Sad isn’t it.

This doesn’t mean she’s innocent, it just means she was slimy enough to create enough reasonable doubt to confuse the jury.
Maybe, but I’da thought they would find her guilty of a lesser charge. What ‘verse are the jurors in? At the very LEAST, Casey was in charge of her child, who indesputably “disappeared” on HER watch, and was later found dead. The irony is that her lies are how she is getting away with this. Pathology on parade; there are no winners here.
Further emboldened by getting away with murder, Casey will be an accident waiting to happen when she gets out.
So panicked she spent a month partying, screwing around, and getting tattooed.
