Stress-related condition ‘incapacitates’ Bachmann; heavy pill use alleged

In late July 2010, Rep. Michele Bachmann’s then-communications director, Dave Dziok, told his boss that he planned to take a new job with the public relations firm Edelman.

Dziok had worked for Bachmann for two and a half years, a relatively long period by the standards of her office, and was leaving on good terms.

Staff turnover can frustrate any employer, but Bachmann responded more dramatically. Dziok’s departure triggered a debilitating medical episode that landed the congresswoman in urgent care.

“Within 24 hours she was in the hospital,” a former aide says.

Bachmann was admitted to a Washington, D.C. hospital on Friday, July 30, and released that same day. She flew home to Minnesota to recuperate, missing a scheduled campaign event with Sen. Roy Blunt.

And so the trashing of Bachmann shifts into high gear. Oddly enough, it comes from a supposedly right wing site.

Smells like GOP operatives on behalf of Romney.

Oh cool! Let’s all gather ‘round and play the latest political game. It’s called, “Bash Michele until she’s a bloody mess.”

Honestly, my reaction to an article like this is, so what? Or, and? Or, tell me again how this will in the slightest affect her ability to be POTUS?

Geez. I had to laugh at that pic. Looks like the 70’s are back in fashion more than we know. Inflation, gas issues, Carter in the WH again and now this.

Jonathan Strong, the reporter breaking this, was the guy who broke the JounoList story. I am surprised he is dealing in this schlock.

>> The GOP is looking mighty shabby.

There are many Republicans whose top priority is maintaining the status quo, not fixing the nation’s problems.

They have a lot of $$$$$ and career time invested in business as usual, and they are not about to give it all up without a fight.

At some point we may need to begin building a directory of blogsites identifying them as:

TEA Party, Regular Republican, Leftwingtard, Crazoids, Obots, Mitbots, Retromangent Bushies, and so on.

We could refer to the list much as we check out weird reporters on the JOURNOLIST!

FR could easily become the DRUDGELIST of political/opinion orthodoxies ~ and get zillions of hits.

It's ventriliquism.

I'm neither here nor there on the campaign just now, but I have to say, anyone who exposes themselves to that kind rhetorical savagery ought to get, idunno, not a medal but something.

If these spells where totally debilitating to the point of incapacitation, one would think a public person who is stalked non stop would have shown these symptoms WHILE IN PUBLIC. However, there is no evidence that she has had any public problems.

When would these ‘Stress Headaches” Occur? During a stressful interview, all of hers are confrontational and stressful? A stressful travel schedule or some other stress?

I have my doubts about the authenticity of this story.

As a migraine sufferer, from the age of 6 on, I can tell you that such headaches ARE debilitating and do put one out of commission. OTOH, yes, this is a hit piece, but it won’t be the last.

Daily Caller is run by Tucker Carlson who is not conservative but more RINO or E-GOP.. He has had many dismissive things to say about Sarah Palin, too.
