New polls confirm Obama's Democratic base crumbles
LA Times ^ | 7/26/11 | Andrew Malcolm

Posted on 07/26/2011 5:17:43 AM PDT by markomalley

With all of the spotlights on the high-stakes debt maneuverings by President Obama and Speaker John Boehner the last few days, few people noticed what Vermont's Sen. Bernie Sanders said:

"I think it would be a good idea if President Obama faced some primary opposition."

This is political treason 469 days before a presidential election. Yes, yes, this is just a crusty old New England independent for now, albeit one who caucuses loyally with Harry Reid's Democratic posse.

But while most of the media focuses on Republican Boehner and the tea party pressures on him to raise the debt limit not one Liberty dime, Sanders' mumblings are a useful reminder that hidden in the shadows of this left-handed presidency are militant progressives like Sanders who don't want to cut one Liberty dime of non-Pentagon spending.

(snip)

Strong support among liberal Democrats for Obama's jobs record has plummeted 22 points from 53% down below a third. African Americans who believe the president's measures helped the economy has plunged from 77% to barely half.

Obama's overall job approval on the economy has slid below 40% for the first time, with 57% disapproving. And strong disapprovers outnumber approvers by better than two-to-one.

Keep in mind, folks, that this is the LA Times reporting this. Not CNS News, the Washington Times, the Washington Examiner, or National Review.

Yet the MSM is reporting that "polls confirm most Americans blame republicans for the debt crisis". You mean they're lying? LOL

Keep in mind, folks, that this is the LA Times reporting this.

This is the LA Time blog, not the print edition. And Malcolm is their token conservative.

The MSM blames the Bush administration; the people are way past that.

Yep.. the leftard base will desert Obama and tip the election, just as the PUMAs did in 2008./s

It`s the hard left, folks. They`d rather do without crack than see 0bama lose in 2012.

Watch for Hillary to resign her post and pounce on Obama like a cat on a mouse. This is her big chance.

Sanders in not an “independent”. He’s a socialist. What he means is Obama isn’t taking over parts of the U.S. fast enough.

It is 15 full months before anyone gets to go to the polls to vote for their choice to "lead" this country for another four years.

Plenty of time to recover a base, or through false promises, build more.

Plenty of time....

I know a formerly militant Dem/PUMA that voted McCain/Palin and she despised them both. That was at the height of Lord Steve’s ‘popularity.’ Not all the Pumas folded.

His worshipful flock has been greatly culled by the economy and his military adventurism.

“African Americans who believe the president’s measures helped the economy has plunged from 77% to barely half.”

I think this is meaningless because they will still vote for Hussein.

Hillary Clinton is a Fabian Socialist. Bill Clinton was a horndog first, a pragmatic socialist second. I truly believe he was a leftist because that’s where the “easy” women are.

Hillary would have pursued the same goals as 0bama, but would have done it more slowly and piecemeal (the Fabian part) whereas 0bama is a Radical Marxist, and has tried to do it by revolution, not evolution.

0bama might have indeed been God’s mercy on this nation, as he woke up the masses to the fact that these people want to communize our nation. The Fabians, I believe, are smarter, and they’ve gotten more done over the decades, because they tied up the sleeping giant slowly, instead of screaming and attempting to cut off his head.

His flock may be lean now,I personally see any evidence of it, but come election time it will be at full strenght. I would not believe a poll if it said water was wet for two reasons:! People lie to pollsters. 2. Polls are always skewed to get the desired results.
