We can only hope. I want them to mean what they do, not just do it for re-election. The time has come for these people.

For the flipping like of me I don’t understand why the House just didn’t leave town after passing CC&B. Make the Senate do its job.

And now the debt ceiling will be raised with a bill friendly to Reid and even Pelosi. The Republican Speaker of the House is disgraced by his caucus and will see his influence in the future reduced, maybe to insignificance. That’s a very good day’s work.

Do you know who? Old guard standing strong?

Mine is suppose to be s Conservative and has an ok record but still would not answer my question as to where he stood as of this afternoon. (Jack Kingston) Looking at his web page I say he caved days ago if he even held any.

McConnell can’t help him. The timing is interesting though.

But if Boehner either doesn’t have the votes or barely has the votes, how will McConnell help him?

McConnell will help to sell Boehner out.

What is needed to be done, from the very start, is NOTHING.
The debt limit ‘crisis’ is a sham. When you run your credit cards to the max, you stop spending. That’s what they are afraid of. Tax revenue will still come in and we service our current debt affordably. They are terrified that when the debt ceiling is hit, people will see that the world doesnt stop, the money still taken from their paychecks still gets spent, and we have been lied to for decades.........

So now Reid will pass what he wants in the Senate. He will send it to the House and the Dems will pass it with 25 GOP detectors. Boehner won’t be able to stop them. He can’t hold the caucus together. The Dems have no fear of him now.

As long as we all realize that there will NEVER be a bill brought up that any of us will support or like. NOTHING they can do will fix our problem.

1. They will not lower the ceiling
2. They WILL raise the ceiling
3. All cuts suggested in the most liberal or conservative bills are FAR FAR FAR - light years away - from what we need.
4. We will grow deeper in debt over the coming years - welllllll into the trillions of dollars.

Unless we have a total and complete collapse of the system or a total and complete revolution then we are going to lose the America we now know.

We already are losing the America we now know.

Really? Looks to me like he hasn't actually compromised on one dang thing considering the senate has vowed to kill his plan on arrival. He has played a good game imo. Boehner has his own style of leadership. I think it has been effective. so far.

Very complicated is right! I though I understood what was going on up in DC but the more zig zags happen the more confused I get. Someone wake me when it's over!
