Israel has told Middle East power brokers it was ready to discuss a proposed package on borders with Palestinians to help Western powers revive stalled peace talks, an official in Jerusalem said on Monday.
The official denied reports by Israeli and other media outlets that Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu had backed down from an earlier rejection of US President Barack Obama's proposal to negotiate a pullback to 1967 lines.

The official in Jerusalem responded that Netanyahu "has been clear that Israel will not return to the 4th of June 1967 borders," or the lines that stood before that war.
So much for the capitulation to Hussein.

When I read that headline yesterday, I thought that Obammie and his Commies must have laid some pretty heavy threats to get Bibi to cave like that.
Anyone that's followed Bibi for any time knew that he would never capitulate to this halfrican communist with balls the size of mousenuts.
Bibi is a true patriot and will never abandon Israel in her time of need.
He knows that the palis want Israel destroyed and all Jews dead, it's in their charter, and he believes them.
Israel will eventually sign a “peace” agreement with her enemies.
Ah, an opportunity to focus on yet another area of Obamafailure.

Not sure where these stories come from, but in fact Israel has always negotiated "from" the 1949/1967 lines, as well as making it clear that they won't be returned to. Netanyahu, like his predecessors, have been willing to have these discussions. He's not the one refusing to talk.

That was my understanding, thus my recoil when I read the headline on Drudge.
It doesn’t matter from where Israel negotiates. Most Muslims only want one thing and that is the extermination of Israel.
I think these “gotcha” headlines are thrown out there to conjure up violent reactions from “knuckle-dragging, right wing, Tea Party” types.

In any case, it's a moot point; anytime there's a chance that negotiations might get somewhere, the Palis find an excuse to break it off and start an intifada.
