US election 2012: Michele Bachmann snubs Rick Perry at Iowa Republican dinner

Don’t fall for the media’s attempt to turn the nomination process into a stupid ass, drama-enhanced, reality show.

Well, you can say this — Rick Perry has been Governor for 10 years and Michele Bachmann has been a legislator for quite a while as well. Their stands on issues are in the public record. And where both candidates have addressed an issue, their positions are almost identical. And if they are identical on most issues, my money’s on the candidate who has the better chance to win. And that candidate is Governor Perry.

The thing forgotten in Pawlenty’s jabbing at Bachmann is that while he looked bad, she didn’t exactly look magnanimous either. I thought they were both hurt in the debate, but Tim more so.

Perry is just another ruthless politician lusting after the WH to get more power. He is neither conservative nor does he care about promoting a conservative agenda. Rick Perry is interested in getting elected and promoting Rick Perry. Substantively, nothing else matters to him.

All of us should be very concerned about Perry's ruthless drive to win. Perry's slyness and arch-politician ways are off-putting.

Perry’s carefully orchestrated plan to co-opt the Iowa caucuses without actually being one of the official candidates failed miserably.

Perry orchestrated the Perry For President drumbeat, as he laid low——at the last minute he made his move——Perry hoped to catapult to the top and make mincemeat out of the other candidates.

Iowans didn’t buy it.

Perry had a miserable showing——coming in at the back of the pack.

But Perry's calculated strategy also included announcing to the world he was "the winner" no matter where he stood in the final count.

(2) INCREASED entitlements!

In an interview with Newsweek, Rick Perry affirmed his view that Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid were all unconstitutional programs creating “a Ponzi scheme” that was bankrupting the government. That's exactly what a RINO would say, right? Just like GWB.

Perry has been governor of Texas for more than 10 years. Here's how Perry's Texas stacks up against the rest of the country on entitlements.

Yeah, he's a regular northeastern liberal. Sheesh. You need to stop making crap up about Perry.

SPENT more of the working man and woman's hard earned money than any President since (fellow Texan!) Lyndon Johnson!

Yet, on a per-capita basis, only Tennessee has a smaller state tax burden than Texas.

You'd better start getting your facts straight otherwise you might say more ridiculous things like you're going to sit out the election if and when Perry becomes the Republican Party nominee.

Good analysis, it tears this post subject to bits.

even when insulted she takes them on again fearless. She has got guts

Don’t be foolish, Bachmann gets in their face, not saying otherwise. Its the hiding from the voters, showing up LATE, rushing through a 3 minute speech, running off and making them wait until the lights are perfect, is what she does and THAT is not what she needs to do.

Then you top off with a foolish smear on Perry. Bad form.

Bachmann snubbing Perry at the Iowa Republican dinner effectively reinforced Iowans' disgust at Perry's arrogance----and his disdain for Iowa's role in the selection process.

Perry calculatedly orchestrated his plan to co-opt the Iowa caucuses by not actually being one of the official candidates.

Perry orchestrated the Perry For President drumbeat from afar, as he laid low——then at the last minute he made his move, announcing he was a candidate. Perry hoped that move would catapult to the top and make mincemeat out of the other candidates.

Iowans didn’t buy it.

Perry had a miserable showing——coming in at the back of the pack.

But Perry's calculated strategy also included announcing to the world he was "the winner" no matter where he stood in the final count.

Perry's ruthless drive to win.....his slyness and arch-politician ways just might do him in.

Ok, let’s give her that possibility or excuse.

How do you equate this “headache” time out when we find ourselves under some dire national emergency? THAT really gives me concern. Campaigning is nothing compared to POTUS (well, present POTUS excepted).
