I can't believe all of this stuff is happening. It is almost like a propaganda war is being waged against the conservative populace of this country to eventually bring to bear forces to destroy it. We do not live like the characters in that movie and to bring it out now tries to paint every white person with the same racist brush found in that movie. This is all senseless and insane given the eventual results.

Although well-writtena and well-filmed, I believe a far more sinister motive exists for the release of this film at this time other than a profit, documentary or other noble cause.

I saw a preview of this movie on some goofy show the wife was watching. It looked like one of those goofy “All of my best friends are black”, white liberal wack job things. I’m gonna pass.

I haven’t read the book or seen the movie. Have you seen the movie?

My squish of a liberal friend on Facebook didn’t like the book because it “makes it look like black people needed a white person to help them out.”

*faint*

I understand you questioning motives and timing of this film’s release but that feels like a stretch to me. A year from now, I might subscribe to your thesis since we would be in the middle of the actual election run-up.

Can you help me a little bit with the reasoning here? I'm not going to read this book or see the movie, unless I wind up in a re-education camp. What do you mean 'incite violence'? Also, how is this next quote a problem:

The primary "evil" white woman character could very easily be a young Nancy Pelosi.

Seems to me that any evil white woman, fictional or not, could plausibly grow up to be Nancy Pelosi.

The fools want to spark a race war, while being outnumbered at least 8:1

Given the jackass demographic, such thinking prolly doesn't surprise anyone.

Arm yourselves, physically AND mentally.

I think you are right. It’s a super slick presentation tear jerker from the start. But the overall bent is to once again play the race card which is rumored to be all zero has left to run on. And,,, run on it he will to the very end.

I remember when ‘Billy Jack’ was in the theaters. I was 15 years old and it had the desired effect; it incited feelings of violence. The audience in that theater was probably 15-25 and when the movie was over, everyone was ready to cause problems...major problems.

It’s a manipulation and the goal is to stir up violence.

If the film were meant to incite violence and foment a race war then the same must be said for the book it is based on.

The film is nearly identical to the book.

I read the book some time ago and enjoyed it. Since then, it's become a best seller. Haven't see the movie but probably will.

I saw the movie this weekend and thought it was pretty good. A better director and screenwriter probably could have gotten more out of the actors and book, however.

I did not take this as having an ulterior political motive. At one point during the movie, at the big fundraiser, I was smiling to myself thinking virtually every white person in that room was a Democrat.

It is based on a best seller novel, written by a woman who grew up in Jackson and whose family had a black maid. Seems pretty natural to make it into a movie.

In the 60s in the south the majority of people were Democrats and the KKK and the elite were pretty much exclusively Democrats.

I have no white guilt. My ancestors never owned slaves. I've never owned a slave, and I wasn't here for the civil rights movement.

In fact, I believe the working taxpayers have replaced slavery. We're the new slave labor. Not only do we labor to support the entire government as well as the democrat base - we labor to support the entire globe.
Isn't it time we freed the slaves again? Where's the guilt over tax payer slavery today? Slaves are slaves. It doesn't matter what color they are.
No man should be used as another mans slave.

Please. The Help has been out for a couple of years in book form.

It’s a very good book and movie. Anyone who knows anything about that time knows it’s Democrats that imposed segregation.

I saw the movie and thought it was great.
One woman in the film was extremely bad, one was extremely good and the others were in the middle.

Hey, lighten up.

Read the comments here.

Freepers are willfully opening their wallets for this film so it can’t be all that bad.

As they say, it’s a free country, right?

Movies like this are very effective. Have been for decades. Way too many Whites are patsies. They have been conditioned to believe that if not for evil whites race issues and racism would not exist. They will wring their hands, bemoan their existence and be silenced. They will nod their heads that whites in general are bad people and be kowtowed to accept all kind of anti white BS. Some will even applaud but never ever wonder why in our egalitarian society Hollywood doesn’t show Movies like this just like the constant barrage of KKK stories or events like James Byrd are meant to do one thing. To shame and berate whites. Whites are taught to believe that whites, their culture and civilization and only whites are the bane of racial harmony. Meanwhile horrific stories of black racial crap are either ignored, downplayed or outright excused like Omar Thornton murdering eight people. If we are so into truth, history and realism let Hollywood have a very direct look at black history and race. Let us explore black ‘racism’. (Of course they won’t do it.) Let’s look at the current day black community. Let us look at Africa and all its glory. Let’s look at the murder and torture of Shannon Christian and Christopher Newsom or Hymietown. Or any number of other examples. One day and hopefully before it is too late more whites will realize that all of this is a zero sum game with the specific purpose of our demise as the goal. Destroy Whites and Western civilization.
