Greta Interview with Palin and Bachman: Disgusting innuendo about Perry
Self | Self

Posted on 09/12/2011 7:40:37 PM PDT by indianrightwinger

I saw the GOP debate and the Greta interview with Palin and Bachman. I am absolutely against Perry's mandate of the Gardasil vaccine. On policy grounds. Period.

But, to see the two ladies pile on with corruption charges against Perry was truly disgusting. If they have any proof that Perry mandated the vaccine to profit Merck, I am the first one who wants it. And, if proof emerges that he did so, I will be the first one to revoke my support for him.

It happens in the industry all the time. Acquaintances get you an audience. So, in this case, the fact that Perry's previous staffer was a lobbyist must have gotten the meeting. A meeting to hear about this wonderous cancer curing drug. Nothing corrupt about it. Is there more to the reason Perry made such a call? Possible/Probable. Evidence of it? None so far.

Come on. Do Palin and Bachman have to resort to gutter politics to get themselves better positioned?

Further more, the gardasil issue is over. Legislation was passed AND signed by Rick Perry was it not? He heeded the wishes of the people.

Gee that’s really a horrible characteristic in a future President; someone who listens.

The horror

It's called pay to play the Texas way.

Most certainly appears to look that way, Sharky.

Yea, she overdid the “little twelve year old girls”, didn’t she?

Get over it. Politics and money is a fact of life. You want to trash a candidate for raising money to win campaigns, go for it.

During that debate, Perry said he got $5,000 from Merck, adn he raised $30M. He said to Bachmann: If you think I can be bought for $5,000, I am offended”. It left her speechless.

Referring to Perry, Greta said "He says he would charge more than six thousand dollars to flip." This is an outrage because Perry did not say that.

I wonder if Greta's made up quote will be in the headlines tomorrow. The left just wants things to get on the internet, even if false. Their lies are then ready to surface on google-searches forever.

If he manages to explain this, perhaps he and his supporters will explain how he claimed ignorance to Gore’s insanity when Gore was on NOVA in 1983 babbling about the crisis to mankind that is ‘global warming’.

Did he not say Gore wasn’t the radical he is today way back then? And please don’t expect anyone to believe that he didn’t know. HE WAS ON TV spouting it.

So what gives? He either was clueless then or a liar now. Neither of which makes for good leadership.

Here I thought the purpose and point of Tea Party principles was to remind politicians that ‘we the people’ are government and we oppose any politician to tax/mandate without representation.

IF Perry took even a thin dime from the drug manufacturer while at the same time mandating the taxpayer to pay for the drug, it is crony politics.

Chicago pay to play politics in Texas, and we’re being told by “conservatives” on FR that this is okay for our nominee.

Palin not for sale? What a joke. TV, movies, books. The reason she hasn’t jumped in is because of the Benjamins. She’s trying to decide whether to give up her million dollar gig with Fox.

i figured Ricardo knew something about them there Texas gals ~ and he figured they all needed a vaccine or something.

You can bet if that stuff had come out when Mayor Marion Berry, Mayor for Life in DC had still been in office he'd had 'em ALL lined up and he would have given them the vaccinations himself!

(/snicker)

I am personally more concerned with Rick Perry pushing toll roads here in San Antonio and bullet trains statewide(a boondoggle if there ever was one, especially here in Texas - NO ONE is going to give up their own vehicle). Even after he was smacked down by San Antonio voters he continued to push the toll road idea. Belatedly, he agreed that toll roads are not the way to go but he sure was hard headed about it.

I instinctively have a distrust of former Democrats who become Republicans to win (including Perry and Bachmann). As my governor, I would agree Perry isn’t all bad, but he definitely has some shortcomings as a conservative leader (Gardasil, toll roads, bullet trains, and amnesty).

That’s what I’m reading....and I truly JUST CANNOT BELIEVE it’s “okay” to do what Obama’s done and is doing. That is NOT being a conservative. That’s disgusting.

Well the funniest thing about this whole episode is that all those anti-Palin trolls that have been telling us for weeks now that Palin isn't going to run and that she will end up endorsing Perry are going to have to scramble for another meme to pitch to us on how Palin isn't running - because guess what, Palin isn't going to be endorsing Perry!

I think Perry really stepped in it tonight when he insinuated that a mere "$5,000" wasn't enough to buy him off. Even if it was "only" $5,000 that he received from the drug company in exchange for his executive order that every 10-year-old girl in Texas get vaccinated with it, this is the kind of crony-capitalism that Palin has been railing against lately.

I glad that Palin and Bachmann are getting this dirty laundry aired now, while it is still early in the campaign. Much better than having it come out during the general election when it is too late to change our nominee.

You are just jealous AND you have an ID tag like a member of the old "Obama Truth Squad". That's a name (city, state, neighborhood) followed by three digits.

So, let me put it this way, Palin is a private individual and she's not being bribed. You idiots work for Obama for free. Did you know that ol'boy is TAKING all the money and keeping it for himself and a couple of his gay lovers. Yup, that's right ~ ALL THE MONEY!

Candidates should just go ahead and dress like NASCAR drivers, with all their sponsors ads all over their suits.

Can anyone do a quick pic of this idea, so we can see how it looks ?

Let’s keep track of the corporate backing of each candidate. Let’s see.... small manufacturing.... family farming....big pharma - yeh, that’s the ticket !

Maybe they told Perry there were big pharma and he thought they said they had big farms ?

We ALL agree the Gardasil thing was a terrible mistake. It did not pass. It was one of TWO terrible mistakes, the other being the TTCorridor. It did not pass either. TWO over the course of TEN years, still, ain’t that bad. Sarah should not climb on against the contenders until she is one in 2038. Purity will not win against entrenched Marxism, so for her to perch at loft and snipe is disgusting, and does NOTHING to enhance her fallen reputation as too soft to take fire herself. She got burned, unfairly, and ran. She got burned as governor, unfairly, and ran again. It’s over.

You have a problem with capitalism? Or should she just beg for money on the street? Is there something wrong with a private citizen working?

Gardisal is hardly Rick Perry's biggest problem. His record on illegal immigration is one. Taking hundreds of thousands of dollars from supporters (who received state grants and appointments in return) ranging from paying all the expenses for the Perry family to attend bowl games to scuba diving trips to the Bahamas is another.
