Perry's adrenaline-packed new ad
Politico ^ | September 21, 2011 | JAMES HOHMANN

“PROVEN LEADERSHIP” – PERRY’S NEW AD: Rick Perry’s campaign is launching an epic new bio spot today. The first 40 seconds attack “PRESIDENT ZERO,” juxtaposing eerie images of national stagnation with footage of Barack Obama taking responsibility for the economy. A tornado siren playing over the president’s voice creates a palpable sense of alarm. The last minute of the web ad introduces Perry as a job creator and veteran who believes America’s best days are ahead, rotating sunny images of the country at its best with footage from the Texas governor’s announcement speech. Lucas Baiano, who produced the spot, has signed on with Perry after working for Tim Pawlenty. Watch it: HERE.

It’s amazing how these phonies... Slick Willard, Captain Gardasil, Zero... all seek to copy Reagan, yet are as far afield from him as can be.

Perrybot Talking Point Numero Uno !

I understand your affliction. Your posts you have been churning out are a desperate cry for help. Instead of lashing out, you should reach out and get some counseling for this self-destructive behavior.

how much of a “stalking horse” I am for that scummy, Sociopathic Socialist Slick Willard

Which is a sign of cognitive dissonance (or just plain stupidity) where you claim to be against a certain person such as Romney, but your actions only go to support and help him - in this case, vicious personal attacks against those who support a better candidate, and constantly lying and chanting simplistic bromides that often bear no relation to the intended target.

You are doing a fine job of alienating others and isolating yourself from a well adjusted community of good people. I would like to help you break that self-destructive pattern and be a force for good. Although MPD is believed to be congenital, accepting it is the first step towards a cure.

(Also, I notice you declined the invitation to accurately define "RINO" which helps to confirm the diagnosis.)

I agree with the changed circumstances. I just don’t see it as an effective campaign message, more likely to hurt than help.

“There is little time to sleep when Obama is destroying the free world. “

Excellent response!

Wow! What an impact. Brought tears to my eyes when I see what obama has done to this country. I’m proud to have jumped on the Perry bandwagon.

-- If Perry is a RINO, what's Olympia Snow, or Mike Castle? --

A member of the elite, and what is currently entrenched, political class.

See too, Arlen Specter, Lisa Murkowski, and any member of the Republican Main Street organization.

AM, there is no factual evidence that Perry ever voted for Reagan. He was an elected Democrat in the 1980s, he did not switch parties until 1990, he was Al Gore's Texas campaign manager in 1988. To claim that an elected Democrat, as some Perrybots are boasting, somehow voted Republican is the height of absurdity and defies logic and reason. If he, as a Democrat, somehow voted for Reagan, why would he turn around and then tout a Socialist liberal for the Presidency running in full-blown opposition to the Reagan agenda ? I have already stated this repeatedly, so why would that particular post now be worthy of removal ?

Let’s entertain your fantasy for a moment that a liberal Democrat like Perry was in the 1980s

Since you were trying to shift the argument in your response to me, I will repeat: Texas Democrats, especially those of urban roots were not liberals. I grew up in TX. As has been posted here many times by other former TX democrats, most were more conservative, especially on social issues than "moderate" Republicans are now.

I don't know why you post things that can't be shown to be factual.

Goodness. There you go again. You get caught attacking me with a provable lie and rather than apologize for the vicious accusation, you proceed to continue to insult me because you lost the argument. Why would one wish to associate themselves with and seek approval from those of such low character as you have so amptly demonstrated here ?

Anyway, you have a nice day.

The same person I’ve been for since 2008. The same person the bulk of this website has been supporting.

-- ... They join the military in droves --

That group has very few members (if any) who are in the country illegally.

-- This law passed both Texas legislative bodies with almost zero opposition. --

I fully support assigning blame to the legislatures, when the item in question was passed into law by a legislature. But using this standard also affects how one approaches Romneycare, also passed by a state legislature.

And in the Texas DREAM Act, the state is endorsing (at least pretending to look the other way) an alien staying in the country illegally.

“It’s that basic dishonesty thing that Perry and his supporters have.”

That’s a rather sweeping generalization.

AM, there is no factual evidence that Perry ever voted for Reagan.

And there is no evidence that he did not vote for Reagain, either. And that is the point. If you state that particular claim as your opinion, it can stand. If you state it as fact, it will not, as you cannot prove it either way without a statement from Perry as to how he voted. FR should not be used to be used to try and establish false facts. We get enough of that from the MSM as it is.

Good ad.

However, the first 40 seconds run too fast and the images flash too quick for what is being presented to register in the mind of the viewers.

Slow the first part of the presentation down to give the viewer time to focus on what is being said/viewed. That would have greater impact.
