... “We were talking about religions in Germany. I said, ‘I’m a Christian. I think being a homosexual is wrong,’” he said. “It wasn’t directed to anyone except my friend who was sitting behind me. I guess [the teacher] heard me. He started yelling. He told me he was going to write me an infraction and send me to the office.”

Why are you only concerned about school-aged children? What about those poor, poor, defenseless toddlers and infants? Why aren't you concerned about them?

Ah! ...The truth! The truth comes out!

The **truth** is that the NEA thugs want to take newly born children from their mother's arms in the delivery room. They want armies of NEA workers raising the nation's infants in 24 hour infant centers!

Hey! Why not? Their parents might abuse them?

This is a perfect example of your extremist views. It might be time for you to consider taking a step back or some time off from the forums.

BTW you will notice that my post did not mention the age of children, I include all children in that , but don't let the facts get in the way of your little rants.

1) Are government teachers advocating that government take infants from their mothers in the delivery room and raise them in 24/7 Infant Schools? Hey! Their parents might abuse them. /s

2) You don't know the stats either because who gets to define abuse?

—It is abusive to FORCE children to think and reason godlessly against their will and that of their parents and **every** godless government school in this nation does exactly that, to every child. Children must think and reason godlessly simply to cooperate with the classroom indoctrination, school assignements, and school policies.

— Are you counting only the abuse perpetrated by teachers? Why not the abuse suffered by children from other children? When children are treated like prisoners why are we surprised to see prison gang abusive pathology in the schools?

—Then there are the schools in this nation that sooooooo horrific, in the school and getting to and from the school, that it would be better for the child to NEVER attend. Illiteracy and innumeracy would be better than for these children to suffer the abuses they face every day. ( Do a Google on the Chinese students in the South Philly neighborhood of Philadelpia, for only **one** example.)

— Then there are the First Amendment Rights ( human rights abuses) that **all** children are subjected to in their godless and socialist-funded government school. Once in the school they are marched around like prisoners to the sounds of bells. The only crime these children have committed is the crime of being born! The government and their government masters ( oops! “teachers”) crush their right to free speech, press, free assembly, free expression of religion, and force upon them the government religion of atheistic secular humanism. ( Great people those teachers!)

— There is the abuse that comes to subjecting children to reading and math programs that have been proven failures and leave children permanently dyslexic, illiterate, innumerate, and emotionally crippled. What about **that ** abuse?

Abuse! Are you kidding?

I pinged out another article about this student who was suspended (at least the suspension was reversed) due to quietly, to a friend, voicing his view that homosexuality is wrong. This thread contains more info and the discussion on the thread is extremely valuable. The homosexual agenda means and has had as goals the destruction of our Constitutionally protected freedoms of speech, religion and association. This destruction is continuing apace.

I can’t believe I’m so blind. I DID ping this out - on the first page, which I scanned down just before this second ping.

Apologies to listees - I’m so tired I missed it. Maybe I should take the day off before I do anything more stupid.

But, the discussion is edifying for sure.

When Clinton was elected I read in the Sacramento Bee an editorial by his newly proposed Sec. of Education, that children should be in public schools from, IIRC, 6 months of age until 18, twelve hours a day, all year. I think the plan was one and a half days off a week, but I’m not sure, this was many years ago. So that of course the kids could be properly indoctrinated and not be have the malign influence of the eeeevil parents.

Just like in Soviet Russia and under Hitler. The State owns the children. It is entirely evil and vile and interesting how those two words are anagrams.

When the defenders of the godless and socialist-funded government school ask questions like Verga’s, we know where they are going. Complete control of children from **birth**. Why not? Hey! Some parents might abuse their children.

When the defenders of the godless and socialist government schools start squeaking the words, “Child Abuse”, we **KNOW** what that means. More government interference in the family. More unionized NEA workers. More unionized child “protection” workers wrecking havoc in the lives of children and families. More godlessness. More socialism.

Yet,...Just look at the abuse suffered by children in our existing government schools! Who can defend that? Unbelievable!

Geeze! I am called “extreme? What I post is said to be “rants”. Again UNBELIEVABLE! Again, what about the following abuse heaped upon children every day in our godless government schools?

—It is abusive to FORCE children to think and reason godlessly against their will and that of their parents and **every** godless government school in this nation does exactly that, to every child. The scenario in “Brave New World” is where this is all going. From womb to tomb (artifical womb in the book), all are property of the State.

The Liberty Counsel is representing Dakota in this case, demanding full vindication and a full retraction of the suspension. If the school board does not comply, a lawsuit will be filed for violation of Dakota's First Amendment rights.

If you have a school-age child and cannot (or will not) take him out of the public school, the Liberty Counsel offers free of charge "The Patriot's Handbook of Religious Freedom in Public Schools". You can request it HERE

Even here on Free Republic it is astonishing how few conservatives and Christians understand the danger of sending children into godless government schools. They seriously believe that their child's school is “different”. Or....We comments such as, “My minister's wife is teacher in the school. Things are OK here.”

An excuse for sending children into the godless indoctrination camps is, “My sister, ( wife, mother, cousin..etc.) works as a teacher she is one of the good ones”. So?....How can FORCING children to think and reason godlessly be considered “ good”? !

It is very discouraging. :-(

I know! The youth director at our church sends his teenagers to the public school... that way they can afford to live at the lake, a big boat... I cannot even begin to describe the sacrifices our family has made in order to keep our two children in a private, Christian school. It amazes me in the mornings when we drive by a rich neighborhood and I see the public school buses picking up children. What are those parents thinking about? Is living in the right neighborhood more important than your children’s lives?

And even in a school that has some good teachers, the textbooks are nasty propaganda and were even in the 80s when I did a lot of home schooling, and there is mandated cirriculum, asesmblies, the other kids who have absorbed who knows what garbage at home/on TV etc.

Plus being in jail for 7 hours a day is another thing entirely.

I haven’t read every single exchange between the two of you on this thread - lack of time - but it is quite obvious who is sincere and who is Alinskying who.

Supporting govt indoctrination centers means playing for the wrong team.

I must disagree. I often visit these threads, and usually enter the key words "public schools" and "homeschooling", to alert readers in general and wintertime specifically. Imho, she has done more to focus attention on the flaws in our present system and to promote home schooling than anyone.

If it were up to me, the public school system would be dismantled.

I see nothing extremist in wintertime’s comments; OTOH supporting public schools’ vile indoctrination and abuse of childrens’ innocence is extremism. It’s anti-conservative, as teachers’ colleges and universities that churn out teachers are notoriously lefitsts, most teachers are. And the agenda in public schools - for at least the last generations or two especially - is admitted to be leftist all the way.

So yes, attack dog support of public schools and condemnation of wintertime who has excellent and reasonable arguments against public schools, is extremist. In the wrong direction.

The vast amount of money freed up by dismantling the public school system would be startup money for plenty of good private schools, allow working mothers to stay home and home school, and so on.
