... “We were talking about religions in Germany. I said, ‘I’m a Christian. I think being a homosexual is wrong,’” he said. “It wasn’t directed to anyone except my friend who was sitting behind me. I guess [the teacher] heard me. He started yelling. He told me he was going to write me an infraction and send me to the office.”

The truly subversive thing is to say that faggotry is fabulous. Use the euphemism “gay” and you’re playing into their hands, accept their rules of the game.

The vast majority of conservatives recognize that vouchers, tax credits, charters, and gradually charging increasing amounts of tuition at government schooling are policies that would lead to building a private infrastructure. The goal though should be complete shut down of all government schooling and complete separation of school and state. Personally, I think a transition of 15 to 20 would be sufficient time.

Seriously; Please go for it! You let me know what you are doing besides just talking about it and I will support you 100%.

1) Start a charter school.

2) Run for office.

3) Take in some of the neighbor kids and teach them for free

4) Wintertime convince ALL of your kids to let you have the grandkids aznd teach them.

I will support any eactual effort you make, but I will not support you sitting around doing nothing except whining.

BTW wintertime I am still waiting for you to adress the issue of Chris XXXX, His parents homeschooled him from Kindergarten to 10th grade. When he got to our school he tested at between a 7th and 8th graede reading level. He was approx 100lbs over weight and ADD.

Contact me off list so that I can put you intouch with his parents. They will PAY you to work with him.

You seem to be under the impression that I or trisham or wintertime want your support. There’s third option other than “support” or “attack”.

I will give you a list of about 15-20 students at my school and you take them for 1 year and prove to me how good your theories are.

We homeschool 4 very normal boys. I will match them up to any average score (even top 20%) of any grade you teach. One son was slow to read, but we waited for him to come into his own a year later and he has accelerated like a trooper (he was always ahead of his grade in math as all my boys were).

That said, do I understand that teachers have problems with students. Yes I sure do. I think the breakdown of the family unit has grandmothers raising kids they should never have had to raise. They are at wits end. I think kids are given an attitude of just doing time at schools. I think gang influence and drugs can make teaching a child near impossible. I think the whole structure of schools where teachers are given no respect from their students is a lose lose situation.

There comes a point where you lose a child's respect. All you can do is make them respect your rules. Teachers are given near impossible standards to achieve and few tools to keep the students in line enough to teach them. Could I teach those 15-20 students any better than you. Yes, but not under the same rules you are given. Like I stated earlier the only option left after losing respect is to still be able to enforce rules to live within. To teach those trouble students would require one to be able to control all aspects of that child's life. From morning rise to sunset bed, a strict regiment of control would have to be enforced. It would be like the army, and love would at first seem a far distant light. Even so, some that are hardened like steel would be a total loss. They would do the minimum required and tough their time out.

That is why it is important to grab children young. The sooner parents lose control of their children, the easier to mold children in a godless society. I think given the results of public schools, if given a choice of being to pick where to send your children (to private instead) at a young age, so many would choose private over public that the system of failure would collapse.

Please forgive typos and spelling, I am not allowed to teach English to the boys, lol. Wife is head of that department. Math and Science is my dept. (w/ lots of elective gun target shooting). I play the job of respect keeper also. The boy's momma is to be respected above and beyond duty. There is no backtalk and it works like a charm in this household.

That said, I do understand a teacher's task is not an easy one. I still believe that public schools with the help of the breakdown of the family set kids up for failure. It would be nice to have that money I am taxed to use toward my kids education without having it decided for me. I could definitely better spend it than the government has. On average people are taxed around 12k per child in public school. One classroom of say 28 children is 784k per year. Do I think a quarter of million in private education situations would be better spent. Yes would be my answer.

I’m for homeschooling or private schools. Imho, the state and federal government have no authority to demand taxes to pay for government schools. I realize that it’s a wonderful career for some, and that they would for that reason object to ending this system, but that’s not the problem of the taxpayer.

I am simply calling you on the fact that all you do is talk.
I am willing to support you if you actually do something, but prior experience has shown me that people like you will only talk.

We have friends of ours that have adopted 6 kids from Romania (Not all at once) Each of them was homeshcooled. Dave makes enough money that Melissa can stay home and do that. They are now in the process of adopting a foster child and she will be home schooled as well. They have met some of my students and they have said they would never take my job.

But Like I said I want to change it from the inside. I said this about a year ago: There are two ways that change happens, Evolution and Revolution. With evolution there are fewer bodies in the street. I truely believe in a mutliprong approach. What ever works best for that particular child. Public School, Private, Parochial, Charter school, Homeschooling, Vocational. I don't believe in a one size fits all and I know that there are a lot of Single parents out there that can't do home shcooling, or afford private schools. I feel for them, so I do the best I can with the students I get.

I commented up the thread about my homeschooling experiences, or some of them. I tutored and home schooled many children over the years.

I’m tired of your nasty aggressive attacks and I won’t respond to any more of them.

You still get no respect. Even less than old Rodney Dangerfield.
