*excerpt*

... “We were talking about religions in Germany. I said, ‘I’m a Christian. I think being a homosexual is wrong,’” he said. “It wasn’t directed to anyone except my friend who was sitting behind me. I guess [the teacher] heard me. He started yelling. He told me he was going to write me an infraction and send me to the office.”

An e-mail of support for the action of Principal James Wellman might be in order.

Sorry....I don't think anyone who **willingly** runs a godless compulsory government school, that forces children to attend, then forces a godless worldview on the captives, forces them to think and reason godlessly, and **willingly** takes a paycheck and pension for it, should be supported!

Homosexuality may be permitted by law and culture, but it is still wrong, and it will always be wrong, no matter how much proponents of the gay agenda try to twist it into being right.

Agreed. Imho, the public school system has become a tool of the left.

Principal James Wellman is a **willing** cog in the wheel of the godless and socialist-funded government indoctrination camps that are destroying this nation.

If he were a “good” principal he would work to shut these godless camps down, and rescue as many children as possible from its iron grip.

I wonder what would happen if all the kids in such a school would go out on strike?! Maybe their parents could even stage a protest complete with signs. Enough is enough!

ANOTHER REASON TO HOMESCHOOL

This ping list is for the “other” articles of interest to homeschoolers about education and public school. This can occasionally be a fairly high volume list. Articles pinged to the Another Reason to Homeschool List will be given the keyword of ARTH. (If I remember. If I forget, please feel free to add it yourself)

The main Homeschool Ping List handles the homeschool-specific articles. I hold both the Homeschool Ping List and the Another Reason to Homeschool Ping list. Please freepmail me to let me know if you would like to be added to or removed from either list, or both.

Right. Someone can deny the law of gravity, and that rocks are hard, and jump off an eighty foot cliff. Of course reality will take over in a few seconds, and gravity and the rocks will remain largely unaffected.

Two years ago, when my daughter was a senior, a friend insisted she come with her to the Young Democrat’s meeting.

My daughter warned her that this was not a good idea. Other friends laughed and told her the she wouldn’t want her there. Her friend insisted that my daughter come.

My daughter wasn’t there for more than 10 minutes before the subject of gay rights came up.

My daughter piped up, “I believe that homosexuality is a mental illness.”

There were a few seconds of stunned silence before the hysterics set in. My daughter went on a snarling rampage, eating every argument and logically fight back until her friend drug her from the room.

My daughter thought that was the most fun she’d had in her life. Word spread throughout the school and she got high-fives for weeks after.

She’s going to be a tiger-mom one day.

When are tax payers going to get fed up being taxed up the gazoo for public schools only to have their kids exposed to evil aat every turn?

That doesn't work.

Even if your children leave a public school you still are paying into the system via property taxes.

But yes. There should be a "general strike" of kids just not attending these drone factories. They do nothing to prepare them for the real world anyway.

I was just thinking along the same lines! Could you imagine what this teacher would’ve said/done; if this student did say that/or that this student was a Muslim and said something like that? Heaven’s sake!

Darn right.

I can’t give high school students too much credit, though. They don’t dislike homosexuals, because of their lifestyle is immoral. They just think they’re weird.

Certainly, shutting down every gubmint school is the way to go, but that ain’t going to happen,
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Long standing and seemingly intractable institutions can lose their legitimacy overnight. Godless government schools aren't special in that regard. Here are some examples:

** human sacrifice
** the Protestant Reformation
** slavery
** The American Revolution and the rule of monarchs
** Jim Crow

By the way,....In my opinion, the idea that there can be a “good” teacher in a compulsory and godless government school is losing its legitimacy very quickly. Ditto for Principal Wellman.
** A woman's right to vote

Homeschool and put an end to this indoctrination. (Both political and religious) Starve the beast.

I'm not really sure why parents continue to be surprised by things like this.

today - "That's terrible!"

yesterday - "That's terrible!"

last month - "That's terrible!"

last year - "That's terrible!"

I mean really, the only surprise I have is that people are continuously "shocked and outraged" by these stories, as though no one remembers yesterday or any day before that.

I live in the Twilight Zone.

If the school is funded according to daily attendance then it would surely hurt the government school financially.

Godless government indoctrination camps need two things: Money and kids. If there are no kids, or fewer kids, the schools would be shut down and the money that is allocated for the schools per child would be eliminated.

Citizens who are disgusted with having to support the government establishment of the religion of atheism should remove their children and work like crazy to see that legislators are elected who will flat-out defund all government schooling.

KLBJ in Austin had this topic today. There were a lot of callers who thinks the school was way out of bounds on the suspension for the student.
