Mr. Cain has CEO experience and is probably business friendly-works for me. I’m tired of the politicians.

I like Cain, he is a nice man! I was thrilled that he won the straw poll as well. I was rooting for anybody to beat Perry/Romney, but lets be real, he got 908 votes give or take a few, means little other than it hurt Perry/Romney.

Now I suspect the pollsters may really try to push Cain, partly for entertainment and partly to try and use him against the one they really fear/hate.

Cain has a shot at being Gov Palin`s running mate, I think that`s the best scenario Cain could end up with.

The Straw polls mean nothing anymore. When most of us got our news from the MSM years ago, it had more of a impact.

added: I want a Cain/Palin ticket, not the other way around, or Cain/Santorum, Cain/Rubio,well you get the picture. I DO NOT want Sarah to run for president. Way too much media baggage, not her fault, but it’s a problem that would be very difficult to overcome. If the primary were between Mr. Cain and Sarah, I’d pick Cain.

I could vote for Cain any time. I could really get behind a Cain/Palin ticket.

Cain/Rubio 2012

We’re halfway there.

I'd vote for Herman Cain in a New York minute!

I saw the whole debate, even rewound parts to make sure of what I heard. Went to a local Republican meeting the next day with all the Precinct Committee people and local board, all said the same thing I was thinking, Cain was awesome, don’t like Perry as much.

Cain won because Romney is conducting his own little Operation Chaos with his delegates.

I love this man. Wish, however, he had set his sights, first; on Congress. A sure winner here; and with all respect due for his accomplishments.

Post 9/11; has pushed us into such dangerous environs globally; and with now, a jihadist-morphed, Middle East (with due credit to Obama) and the rest of the world morphing into foment of threats; think we need a both, a fearsome and intelligent. . .and experienced Leader.

Think the only one thus far, on our current roster of candidates who fills that niche; is Newt Gringrich. We know the 'devil in his details' (i.e. 'no surprises); and so think we should not obsess about his past personal, issues; but rather, we should be focused not only on our economy; but our world-wide portents.

Newt has 'been there' and as of now; think he is the most qualified, to 'be there' again.

Newt appreciates our history and the world's; and appreciates, like none of the others can; the all too real threats, per a history repeating itself.

Warnings notwithstanding; can only be dismayed that many Repubs appear to be voting per these polls; as if this were an American Idol run.

We have been there; with 'that' winner; and America's losses thus far; incalculable. . .

I am perfectly comfortable voting for someone with his resume as president. In fact, he seems to be an almost perfect antidote to Obama's weaknesses. Obama stacked his administration with government insiders with no real business world experience. Cain is a successful businessman with a lot of real world experience. Given that the number one issue in the country will be jobs and the economy, this is a great advantage.

Furthermore, he is an outsider, when being an outsider is a great advantage. No matter how much democrats blame republicans, and republicans blame democrats, our situation is caused by incumbents of both parties. An outsider can run and win, and the Tea party has proved outsiders can be a force in governing as well.

I'm among the first to admit it's still early and anything can happen.

But unless Palin or someone new gives me reason to think otherwise, one of the current Republican candidates is going to be the next POTUS.

Right now, I'd have to talk myself into voting for all but one and it would be somewhat amazing to actually vote FOR my candidate rather than just a vote to get obama out of the WH. I haven't felt that way since Reagan.

So, unless he talks me out of it, it's looking like it's time for a Herman Cain bumper sticker for my truck.

Weird. I would never and have never put a sticker of any kind on a bumper of any vehicle I've owned, I just don't. I guess there's a first time for everything if you have the right reason.
