Obama says GOP would 'cripple' America (Unemployment Average Bush 5%, Obama 9.7%)

President Barack Obama charged Sunday that the GOP vision of government would "fundamentally cripple America," as he tried out his newly combative message on the liberal West Coast.

Aiming to renew the ardor of Democratic loyalists who have grown increasingly disenchanted with him, the president mixed frontal attacks on Republicans with words of encouragement intended to buck up the faithful as the 2012 campaign revs up.

"From the moment I took office what we've seen is a constant ideological pushback against any kind of sensible reforms that would make our economy work better and give people more opportunity," the president said at an intimate brunch fundraiser at the Medina, Wash., home of former Microsoft executive Jon Shirley.

Idealogy? The man pushed through the unpopular health care bill in the dead of the night. He passed a stimulus that was unpopular, and now he wants another stimulus.

One only has to look at 2006 when the Democrats took TOTAL control of congress to see what devastating effects rats have on the financial condition of our Republic.

What programs that he wanted haven't been passed? Looks to me he has gotten just about everything he has asked for, which, of course, is the problem.

Obama’s administration is shutting down power plants, taxing air transport, creating burdensome financial regulations, devaluing the dollar (and stealing your savings), and creating more bloated, inefficient bureaucracy.
