I get tired of Rush equating garbage majors with Classics, or asserting over and over that there’s no point in going to college unless you’re studying medicine or engineering — something that pays immediately on graduation.
Education — real education — pays, monetarily, intellectually, and morally. Try learning Greek and Latin, then tackling literature or philosophy in the same. Most people cannot, just as most people can’t do calculus. These disciplines train the intellect for anything else you want to pursue. And these studies form the core of our entire civilization.
Yes, too many people, people who would otherwise make terrific plumbers, get pressured into going to college and pursing useless degrees. Yes, they get suckered into taking out loans.
But if you work and pay as you go, and study something other than science — whose business is it? A truly educated person is nothing but an asset — to himself and to society.
No more public loans for BA’s.

If somebody can't get an academic scholarship, they should just do the Old School deal and WORK FOR IT.
In fact, I'm more liable to hire an engineer who has actually worked for something than the Magna Cum Laude who might just not be able to pour stuff out of a boot.
Do public schools actually still take Latin? I was considered a real dummy cause I was one of the few students who didn’t.

And other dubious majors.

If he says he can't recall signing an agreement, would he have if he recused himself from the investigation?
If there was a corporate payout and Cain recused himself from the matter, would not the next in line be delegated that responsibility?
Why isn't Politico tracking down the managers who took over the investigation when Cain recused himself, and asking them these questions?
Because Politico has become Yellow, and they are trying to entrap Cain.

At the time of publishing, the author thought he was writing a puff piece on Gurbst leaving ABC News, but he unintentionally opened a floodgate of old wounds from longtime ABC journalists. The comments section had over 250 comments from former and current employees complaining about how Gurbst ruined the careers of people who didn't play her office games. They wrote about how Gurbst would always probe into people's sexual habits, and speculate and spread rumors about those who didn't associate with her.
She was fond of asking others to guess who was gay and who wasn't.
Gurbst would give her favorites the prime assignments, while she called her enemies on weekends and in the middle of the night to report on minor stories.
Throughout all of this, people commented on how ABC News allowed this egregious sexual harassment to continue in their headquarters.
The bottom line is simple: journalists are quick to use report on allegations of others, but they turned a blind eye when it was going on in their own offices.
