Jesus was NOT a Socialist, butt-tard. It was left up to the INDIVIDUAL and THE CHURCH for tithing. NOT for the government to TAKE from us to re-distribute as they see fit.

Government theft is anti-Christian.....Christian teaching is all about subsidiarity—which means NO CENTRALIZED CONTROL—you idiot sharpton. Charity can NEVER be force.

And when someone says this ... I say, “if you insist that I vote for this then I demand that all my government officials and everyone hired to work for the welfare BE Christian...”

I should have tried that line with my banker, who was owner of the bank, as well as a devout and church building Christian.

Sharpton: Republicans Can't 'Use Christianity' Then Vote Against WelfareIf sharpie were a Christian, he'd realize that the state robs man of his free will to serve God by confiscating that which man would designate for good will towards his fellow man. Defying God and preventing his true servants from doing his will is an act of evil, not "welfare".

I just love it when the left wants to “help” me along in my Christian duties by confiscatory tax and redistribution policies. I would gladly give 10% to the poor out of a benevolent heart, but I don’t like Caesar as the middle man — he is inefficient and quite corrupt, and is never satisfied with 10%. Caesar always demands more than the good Lord ever asked.

We are commanded to help the poor.. but we are also commanded to be good stuards of the money God has blessed us with and we are also commanded to not cause another to stumble.
So the task for us is to determine who is in actual need to help, and how to give them the help they need without worsening their situation.
How is a heroin addict helped if we give him $20 bucks that he then uses to buy the hit that takes his life Mr Sharpton?
