Dallas police have arrested a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a minor at the Occupy Dallas campsite downtown. Richard Armstrong, 24, was charged with sexual assault of child and failure to register as a sex offender.
Armstrong was identified as the man who police said had sex with a runaway from Garland. The alleged incident happened in a tent at one of the encampments on or before Oct. 23.
Police received information that a 14-year-old runaway from Garland was at the camp. Police checked the area and found the girl. During an interview, she revealed that she had had sex with a man in a tent. Armstrong was identified as that man and arrested.
The girl also told dectectives she had told Armstrong she was 19 years old.
He was previously convicted of sexual assault in 2009 and was ordered to register. Court papers indicate he had sex with a 14-year-old girl at a party in Coppell.

That’s always infuriating about liberals -
you can point out example after example of the depravity of those who follow their ideology,
and you can point out example after example of socialists and marxists that follow their ideology,
and they’re always “isolated cases not indicative of the whole”.
So, here's what I get from this. Police find a runaway, who admits that she lied to a man about her age. Then she says she had sex with that man, and he is arrested.
Who needs any charges of forced rape? Who needs evidence? Who needs to even bother to question the integrity of the 14 yr old. Why, let's arrest a man based solely upon the word of a 14 yr old girl. Maybe she will point you out in a crowd, and say that she also had sex with you too.
Can they even continue to hold this guy after she said she lied about her age? If this is the way the law works then you need photo ID before you date any girl.

A man is being charged, for a ‘crime’ that may or may not have happened. No need for evidence, no need for a witness, no need for any reports that a crime was taking place.
Why? Do we even need to have a trial, or shall we just lynch him because some child leveled an accusation? Do you realize how much power we are giving an accuser? This man must prove his innocense, or go to jail.
Is there no thought, reason or rational thought in the Police Department or Prosecutor’s office?
Yeah! He's a real angel! Just another innocent victim......
No! The state must prove his guilt!
He gets his day in court like everyone else!
I walked by Zucotti Park yesterday in Manhattan.
Looks like a Statin Island landfill.
Filthy tents piled on top of each other like big bags of garbage.
Can’t imagine what’s in side. If I had to choose, I’d rather visit the landfill.
Hi, you are being arrested and will go going to jail for Statutory Rape. No, we don't have any evidence, and no, we don't have a reliable witness. Some girl we arrested as a runaway pointed you out of a crowd and said you had sex with her - and, well - since we really don't like this crowd much anyway - we've decided that your rights don't matter much at all.
So, you can tell your boss that you've been arrested for Rape (good luck on your career), and tell your family that you won't be coming home for awhile. In a month or so, we'll have a trial and you can spend your hard earned money hiring a lawyer to defend you on this trumped up charge.
Since we have no evidence - this will probably work out in your favor, but you will have the tanished reputation as a Rapist for the rest of your life. You will spend thousands of dollars defending yourself on this trumped up charge; with no legal recourse. Then, if the jury just doesn't like you anyway - there is a chance you'll go to jail anyway.
Sound fair and reasonable to you?
Doesn't matter one iota. He is being charged with THIS crime. Past behavior has no bearing on this. What we have is a young girl who admitted telling the man that she was 19. She then is accusing him of Statuatory Rape. No evidence, no charges, no crime.
Just think - if you had been there, she could have pointed at you.
