Uh, no he’s not an idiot. He’s a realist who actually has to deal with these PEOPLE. Unlike you and the gang here, he sees the people. That’s a good thing for a leader. Too bad those are few and far between here.

Any candidate who wants to actually win the general election will never say that they must round up all illegals and ship them out. It’s NEVER going to happen.

However, simply making them legal enough to pay taxes we identify them and start some form of discussion in dealing with the problem in a way that will not make the GOP a minority party for a long time. Face it, the hispanic demographic is the fastest growing one because they actually have children instead of aborting them. There are real consequences to aborting the next generation. We are just starting to reap it now.

I must admit I haven’t read the article. But if Perry is saying he does not want them to become citizens. That is probably more than most running for President would say right now. I’m glad Perry is saying this. That is a good thing for America. Now put them back across the border Rick. Where they belong.

Here is the problem, the AP writer sets up a false premise in the first line of the article.

Texas Gov. Rick Perry says America should extend work visas to allow illegal immigrants

If you are here on a work visa, you are here legally and you are NOT an immigrant.

“Well Perry has skyrocketed to 8%. He has his base solidly behind him. All 8%.”

And this is why the Perrybots hate Cain with a passion, and have decided to throw their hat in the ring with the Left-Wing slime machine called Politico.

It must also really gall them that Cain isn’t losing support in the midst of this slime job by Politico. Heck, Cain’s campaign took in a million in just a couple of days. :-D

Countries the world over not issue work visa’s?

Just how in the fudge do Americans conduct work in other countries?

You really do make yourself look foolish trying to defend the foolish statements and stances on the issues taken by Rick Perry. Okay, I accept that you cannot distinguish between a sensible work permit program and Perry's idiotic plan to issue work permits to many millions of illegal aliens already in the US.

La Raza Perry endorses work visas for ILLEGAL INVADERS! When we have Service men and women coming home and looking for jobs, he supports ILLEGAL INVADERS over AMERICANS! That is how the headline should read.

This goes double for RINO ROMNEY!

The problem is you don't understand the fight. This isn't about letting them in, it's about them already being here and states having their hands tied by the feds.

Here is why Perry is right.

Its all about getting them on record.

Here is how it works now.

If an illegal that "swam across the Rio" gets pulled over in Texas and they don't have a Driver's License or any other form of ID they are going to be booked with an ID hold. That means that they will not be released until their identity is proven. There are only two ways to do that, finger prints or someone with proper ID has to either bring them their ID or has to be able to credibly vouch for them under penalty of perjury. All a cop or jailer can do is ask, 'are you an American?' If they are here illegally and have never had contact with Law enforcement in the US their prints will not be on file, they also are not going to have anyone come and get them because they will provide proof that they are here illegally. So we are left with them either telling the truth or lying. If they tell the truth we can turn them over to ICE, if they lie, we can not turn someone who claims to be an American citizen over to ICE no matter how much our gut tells us they are lying. So now they are here, stuck in jail and we have to wait until they decide jail sucks and then tell the truth. The problem with that is that jail is usually better than their village in Mexico or whatever hell hole they are from.

Even when they do make it to the Feds the Feds are going to help them file the forms they need to get a hearing and then release them back into the state until their court date, which no one will or can enforce that will probably be 5 years later anyway.

Most Illegals entered legally but have over stayed their VISA but unless USCIS has put out a warrant or deportation notice on them Law Enforcement will have no way of knowing they are here illegally. A worker ID system would change that. There would be a system to track them and ID them and deport them. However, it is all useless unless we secure the border first.

He may be tone deaf. He doesn’t seem to understand that folks hate messicans.

Race bait much?

Can Canadians get work visas? How about Aussies? The French?

Sure they can, as long as they apply on the front end- LEGALLY, not through some back door deal with a wink and a nod that greases the skids for amnesty to full citizenship.

Yeah...kind of like the way the Politico didn’t mention any specific people or allegations in their hit piece on Cain...which you and the other Perrybots lapped right up.

It’s a bitch when the Left-Wing media misrepresent things about your guy isn’t it?

It is a work visa for ILLEGALS - and what other country does that? I don’t know how much longer this site will put with you guys.

Maybe you should take a break from here before you burst something.

You're screeching in ALLCAPS, using multiple exclamation points and generally just freaking out because a bunch of people you don't even know disagree with you.

It's an internet political forum. Take a deep breath and lighten up a little.

Finding out the so-called settlement was nothing more than a termination severance is also quite normal. Hell, my company gives severance to all employees upon satisfactory termination. (and yes, agreements are signed)

Like Hucklebe, Perry wants cheap labor for his big racher friends and supporters! Nanny stater Hucklebe wanted cheap labor for his Alabama farmers, too. The people say no jobs for illegal aliens! Show them the exit door! Heavily fine empoloyers of illegal aliens. Newt Gingrich, too, ia a big amnesty lover!

Bnefits for illegals have been a big cause of our overcrowded schools, and emerency rooms! Too costly for us who pay our bills and taxes!

Under Perrys plan, you get put into the system and you go to the back of the line as a NON citizen.

Unlike you and the gang here, he sees the people.

I don't think he's seen enough. For instance, has he seen the rape tree? You know, the one on which the illegals, sneaking here through the scarce populated foothills, hang the panties of the girls they rape?

yes, by all means let's give 'em a visa, too...

“There would be a system to track them and ID them and deport them. However, it is all useless unless we secure the border first. “

Nice try. Just bring this up draws ILLEGALS here, and believe me they follow our immigration debate even more than Americans. This country needs to speak with ONE VOICE, and that voice is that ILLEGALS will not be REWARDED with work permits (or any other benefits, for that matter)...that simple.

Work permits themselves are fine if done right, as long as the Illegals go home, and get in line behind the people that DIDN’T break the law.

Agree with some of what you say. That if they were on record it may be easier to deport them. I would say if they can’t give a SS# if they are an adult then they are illegal though. Agree we must secure the border. Is Perry wanting to do that ?
