I like Herman Cain and I was nervous about the CNBC debate. For the previous nine days, Cain has been busy trying to defend himself against sexual harassment charges. The whole ordeal has been a distraction from the Cain campaign, 9-9-9, the other GOP candidates and the upcoming primaries and election.
Whether you thought he won or not, Cain showed up ready to face the moderators, his rivals and the American people. He was unflappable, stayed focus and on message, and showed us why a businessman might be the right pick for president this time.

This is apparently the OFFICIAL talking point comming out of the Perry campaign. This from RedState's front page (which is all but an official arm of the Perry campaign):
What Do Rick Perry and Barack Obama Have in Common? With a tip of the hat to Christina at the Neal Boortz Show who put this together, Rick Perry can at least take some comfort from the fact that he is no worse without a teleprompter than Barack Obama.
The problem with your argument is that it assumes there are only 2 people in the race...Romney & Perry. That’s not the case. Both Cain and Newt are surpassing Romney at this point and even before this debate Perry had slipped to single digits. Can he recover? Of course he can but he will have to have a couple of good debate performances in order to do so. Right now, fair or not, he’s earned a reputation for being slow witted. The debates are the only way, right now, that we have to evaluate the candidates together at the same time. No one else has stumbled as much as he has. I’m not suggesting it’s indicative of his intelligence (I wouldn’t be good in that kind of format either) but the press will wrap it around his neck and tighten it until they choke him out of the race. They try similar tactics with every candidate we have. It really surprised me he didn’t accept an offer to participate in a Lincoln-Douglas style debate because it’s a format that allows time for more thoughtful responses which he may be more successful at than one where he only has a 30 second soundbite to make an impression.

Some lib on MSNBC that claims he is a conservative.
“Mr. Green, I paid for this microphone!!!”
Oh, please. The actual conservatives were supporting Tom McClintock. I was not fooled by AH-nold for one second.
The money and support is pouring in for Herman Cain, but we cannot slow down now. Please help him by donating at http://www.hermancain.com/
Also to help join the buzz about Herman go to facebook.com and like him. His likes have jumped dramatically since the attacks started. Make no mistake Sean Hannitys BFF Tokyo Rove is watching Hermans likes and so is Romney. THIS is the way to stick it to the GOP establishment! Please tell your family and friends to like Herman as well. Then lets bring out our most powerful tool for helping Herman Cain: PRAYING that God protects him from the people of darkness.
Oh, a slim ray of light, putting the situation in perspective, not to be seen often on political threads. Thanks for posting. I am not sure most people with get this without help, so may I add to your comments by saying that just because a man is a pilot does not make him special. In the hierarchy of pilots, the smartest and most driven gravitate towards fighter aircraft; Those on the left side of the Bell Curve, towards transport. This is of course not always true and there are many exceptions, and flying multi-engine planes puts the pilot into an strong position with the airlines after leaving the Air Force vs. the fighter guys.
All this to say that there absolutely nothing negative about being an AF pilot, but that skill set is a poor indicator of future success as you can both go to the moon or die in a TV traffic helicopter.

That’s what we thought electing Arnold Schwarzenegger as Governor of CA. Successful actor and businessman.
I hope Herman turns out differently. ]
Depends on WHO Cain surrounds himself in a Cain Administration. If he picks a LOT of tea Party Favorites for his cabinet he will be great.
Honestly If I was Cain I would pick Ron Paul as the Cabinet head of every agency that needs to be shut down and once he is done with each one move him to another one, mwahahahahaha.
Gingrich would be good to act a intermediate between congress and the POTUS as VP as he is most familiar with that environment, but you would need to keep Newts feet to the fire if he starts gettign “squishy”.
I would put in John Bolton as securtary of State and maybe find some good jobs on the Cabinet for Allen West, Rand Paul and Michelle Bauchman if they were willing to do so.
Other than that, pack the Cabinet with good solid rock ribbed republicans.
1. Arnold was a business success with the Schlotsky's Deli chain.
2. Arnold was going to make CA business friendly, first by lowering the employees mandated state disability payments which got out of hand.
3. Arnold was going to "blow up the boxes", meaning the superfluous state of CA departments that are redundant to federal such as EPA, OSHA; would be shut down.
Given these expectations, he won since his star power would sway independents; which it did. McClintok did not have a chance.
Arnold was our hope and change in 2003 for CA. I moved away in 2008, in disgust.
I'm behind Cain, who seems to be more genuine than the way Arnold turned out. My expectations have been tempered.
I know what you mean. I could not understand how someone with REAL intestinal fortitude could adhere to such pap in later life. There is just no accounting for how people turn out.
Cain is still the leader.
Romney is endorsed by some flawed logic by Ann Coulter who is an enigma. She’s now a converted establishment candidate. I may get thrown off the board by many, and Jim Rob, but if Romney is the nominee, AND, Palin doesn’t jump in as 3rd party candidate to save the day, then and only then, yes, I will vote for Romney to save the country from Soros/Obama from destroying the last fibers left of our flag.
There simply is no logic, only emotion, in anyone sitting at home refusing to vote for Romney AGAINST Obama/Soros.
