Five illegal immigrants armed with at least two AK-47 semi-automatic assault rifles were hunting for U.S. Border Patrol agents near a desert watering hole known as Mesquite Seep just north of the Arizona-Mexico border when a firefight erupted and one U.S. agent was killed, records show.

Temp agencies now (can) specify that certain jobs that they may or not have (currently) available require high security checks

Any company that does any confidential work or design and/or manufacture at all is required by the federal government to check out all applicants and have the job applicant fill out complex info questioners and sign them under.....

Like the progressives, terrorists, drug cartels, and All-Red types - They simply use the laws and regs against - the Obamas and Holders -

.

I understand, but the vast majority of jobs are not in that category and probably not the type of jobs illegals are applying for.

You would be surprised how many doctors and dentists across the border in Progresso got their degrees from colleges in the USA. The snow birds, from up north, flock down there in the winter and make full use of cheaper prices.

If you even enter or work in a building that has any type of confidential (military) info or items or records in it -

- Even if you do maintenance work or cleaning offices

You can be required to go through hoops, forms, interviews, etc.

I know a more than a little bit about this - But I obviously won’t go into it on FR

Unlike the goofy golfer - I have a security clearance -

Using Temps these days is good business solution under the current situation where the WH dictates - while leaking - or stabbing allies in the back

I will vote for neither.

So if Newt is the nominee you won't vote? You'd rather four more years of THIS? And of course a second "Lame Duck" term will be much much worse.

At this point in time I do not foresee any of the people presently running in the primaries accruing enough support to enter the Republican nominating convention assured of being the candidate.

It isn’t over, Soldier, until the balloon drop.

In the past, jokes regarding terrorists have been made about those “dangerous Amish.” Well darned if we don’t now have an actual case of dangerous Amish. Oh, where will it all end!!! ;-)

Another factor thrown into the stew pot. Would this make a difference: What if Gingrich gets PALIN'S endorsement?

I would add the Middle East to that, as well. There is a reason historians refer to the ME as the graveyard of Empires. That place will only change because the people who live there want it to change. It isn’t our responsibility to make it so. Meanwhile, our troops are needed here along our border.

When I teach world history, I often use that phrase with regards to empires and that region. It's so very true. A quagmire where it would be nearly impossible for our country to secure any sort of "victory" be it military, cultural, political or otherwise. Even a quasi-victory in some form of long sought after compromise, would be guaranteed to weigh heavily against us and in the end, turn into certain long range defeat. I prefer to sit back and watch Bible prophesy run it's course because that's the ONLY way change will come and eventual peace will overtake the region and the world.

...both worthless parties and several worthless presidents proceeding...

Sad but true. The legacy of Ronaldus Magnus himself is marked with amnesty policy, and I dare say it was the beginning of the crisis we endure today.

OY! Palin endorsed Rick Perry for governor of Texas a while back, but that, to me at least, had more to do with the internal politics of Texas that it did with national politics.

I don’t know at this juncture whether she will endorse anyone. The Republicans may well head into their nominating convention next year fractured, without a definite candidate, and she may end up being drafted by popular acclaim.

If everyone wants her endorsement, why settle for second best? The Republican Party should go for the ‘real deal’!

Damn, I really wish Uncle Sugar would get outta the way and let American citizens take care of the issue.

A few thousand patriotic Americans would shut that border down tighter than a drum.

Two AK-47 assault rifles found at the scene came from the failed Fast and Furious operation.

"Seal the borders. Deport the illegals."

Totally unnecessary: just make it a felony to employ and illegal.
Then cut off all welfare payments to illegals, require U.S. citizenship or a valid green card for all college scholarships.

In a word, remove all financial incentives for them to be here.

The wetbacks will self-deport if they can't work here.

“You state latinos are only worthy to pick apples for you, and you say I’m the racist?

Allow me to attempt to clarify an aspect of the above line. Culture is crucial, and any population not sworn to “Preserve & Protect” the Constitution must not be accorded the rights and benefits of an American.

Bring in those from inferior cultures for specific purposes and make sure they are returned to the Turd World from whence they came.

Yes, I did describe Turd World ‘countries’ as “inferior”. They are.

You say “Newt was very pointed in the humane treatment would only be applied after securing the border and then weeding out the illegal pool by very tough employment laws dealing with them. Then on a case by case basis allowing those who are productive and contributing to this country to apply for a status to keep working legally but without any rights that come with citizenship...” NOT ACCEPTABLE - deport them all ASAP... None left behind... send them back - ALL OF THEM ...

I don’t disagree with you, I just can’t stand the hyperbole that some will use to make a point and we do not need that kind of crap in an honest discussion. If we don’t weed it out then how can the truth end up as the winner?

What is hyperbole to one is truth to another ...I have a good memory - I know what Romney’s position was on the various issues before he changed his position. I know the actions he took over the years. Changing one’s position on an issue if fine - but acting like he didn’t do it is the problem. Gingrich on the other hand (in most cases - makes it clean he has changed his political position on a issue. Which is a more believable action. I want politicians to show that they have learned from their mistakes and admit it.
