The Council on American-Islamic Relations was not pleased by Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum’s call to profile Muslims as a way to combat terrorism during Tuesday night’s GOP debate on CNN.
Answering debate moderator Wolf Blitzer’s question about whether he would support ethnic or religious profiling, Santorum replied that Muslims should be profiled.
Santorum explained that he would support profiling “the folks who are most likely to be committing these crimes.”
“Obviously Muslims would be someone you’d look at, absolutely. Those are the folks — the radical Muslims — are the people who are committing these crimes by and large,” he said. “As well as younger males, I mean these are things, not exclusively, but these are things you profile to find your most likely candidate.”
CAIR took offense. In response, the Muslim advocacy group called on the Republican Party to repudiate Santorum’s remarks.

We all know that, but that Koran claims that Jesus was a Muslim (as were his disciples) and even extends the same claim to Abraham and Ishmael. (Further on the Koran's view of Abraham: he helped Ishmael set up the Ka'aba in Mecca as a place of monotheistic pilgrimage, and per different interpretations, some "scholars" imply that Abraham was ordered by "Allah" to sacrifice Ishmael instead of Isaac.)
There was no such thing as a muslim in the first century
Something tells me CAIR and friends will bump into the 2nd amendment here, in America pretty soon. There's nothing in the Constitution that protects sabatoures, nothing. People are camped-out tonight to get a deal on a flat-screen on Black Friday. Imagine what they'd do to eliminate the TSA gropings and infringements that take place everyday at every airport? Or suasage-heads that take to blowing up malls?
America is coming back but it'll take a while. Right now, we have to deal with the sleeping bagger diversion. Who knows what tomorrow brings?

How do you know if someone is a Muslim?....Look for the guys with their asses in the air just before boarding time. All of them seem to point their heads east.

I'm not a religion scholar, and most certainly am not a Muslim, but I can read and interpret a little bit. Let me clarify something for you.
The word "Muslim" means "one who submits to the will of God (Allah)". As such, it may be applied to not only the practitioners of Islam the religion, but also to any of the pre-Islam prophets of the Bible, who are recognized by Islamic belief as having lived a life of "submission to the will of God". These include Jesus, Abraham, Adam, and others.
I don't think any modern Muslim would be so foolish as to claim that Jesus was a Muslim in the sense of "practitioner of Islam", but one can see how the name may be applied to pre-Islam individuals as a description of their submission to the will of God.

In principle, the Muslims would say so, but the reality is that, it is the same Muslims who have no problems attacking Christians, those who follow Jesus.

Well, certainly Muslims and the Koran have a very distorted view of everything that came before them in Judeo-Christian tradition. I was only trying to figure out the meaning of a statement (that “Jesus was a Muslim”) which appears not only chronologically incorrect, but nonsense, to one like me who was raised Christian.
