Who Will Sarah Palin Endorse?
Yahoo! News ^ | Nov 23, 2011 | Mark Whittington

The most sought-after endorsement of this political cycle will be from a woman who holds no political office and is not currently seeking one. That is why each of the Republican candidates have done the equivalent of kissing Sarah Palin's ring.

RealClearPolitics believes that former House Speaker Newt Gingrich has the inside track for getting the Palin endorsement. Of course, reports about what Palin will or will not do is largely conjecture, even if it is sourced from people said to be within the Palin inner circle. Only Palin will know who she intends to endorse and when. Any definitive statement that does not cite her personally as a source should be taken with a grain of salt.

The criteria Palin will use to determine who to endorse will be who will be best for the country, in her judgment, and only secondarily who will be best for her own political fortunes. Palin has some definite ideas about how the United States should be governed, particularly in the suppression of honest graft in the congress and crony capitalism. Whomever is best suited to advance her agenda will get her endorsement.

Not one of the current candidates are perfectly suited for Palin's likely criteria. Romney is too squishy. Perry has been accused of practicing crony capitalism as governor of Texas. Herman Cain, while likely appealing to Palin, has stumbled since the sexual harassment allegations. Gingrich himself has been in politics for decades and

If she endorses a RINO; it will be over for her.

Here’s Gingrich sticking up for Palin at the convention when a reporter suggests she’s light in the resume.

She is the most respected political figure amongst the Conservative base. Judging by your posts, you obviously harbor some sort of hatred towards her.

Here’s what I think, she will not support anyone in the republican party.

At some point she will run under the TEA Party banner and we will bury the Republican Socialist Party once and for all, they can all join the democrat socialist party..

Hatred? I don’t hate anybody. Now if you had said that
I don’t respect her decisions or think that she is particularly bright or presidential material or that I object to the way she played you guys, you’d be on the right track.

“No one. She will be nominated at the convention to be the nominee; and go on to trounce Obama in November.”

20% is not going to get anyone a majority of delegates so there is a good chance of a wide open convention and when Sarah throws her hat in the ring it will be sheer pandemonium.

Not at all. Since none of the candidates are as conservative as her they probably don’t meet her minimum standard for what a Pubbie candidate should be therefore she isn’t going to endorse any of them.

Americans really want a true-blooded American political leader, man or woman, who is a strong conservative and is consistent in word and deed. The only one I can see is Sarah. The others are just overtly RINOs or RINOs in conservative clothing who will show their true colors after they are elected. Conservatives are tired of that crap.

Best to let the Dem-bulbs have the election and let them run the country further into the ground. What are they going to do? Blame Bush? Most people see right through that. I think Sarah was wise in waiting until 2016 because by then the Dems will have screwed up things so much worse than present that the electorate will practically drag her into the White House whether she likes it not.

“Sorry...gotta do this...

‘Whom’ will she endorse?”

I love it when the grammar Nazis show up. LOL! Be sure to include a link for that particular grammar rule you are correcting us on. It’s one thing to show us but another to explain it in complete detail.

I want an explanation, dagnabbit! Show me the Monet!

What does whom I support have to do with my lack of respect for Palin’s actions since she quit?

IIRC, while Sarah was considering running, she said her decision would depend on whether or not someone she agreed with and could support was running.

Seeing as she chose not to run, we can only conclude that someone she fully supports is in the race, and will, therefore, receive her endorsement.

It may be surprising. I was stunned when Ann Coulter endorsed Mitt Romney.

Have you seen this clip of “conservative candidate” Bachmann? There’s a thread on it here: http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2812319/posts

I can’t wait ‘til Herman Cain is asked what he thinks about the Gingrich solution, i.e.,

control the border
guest worker program
review board
deportation in specific cases
very severe penalties for employers

Do you think Mr. Cain will say that wholesale mass deportation is practical and fair, and that individual review is not? Do you think he’s against very severe penalties for employers of illegals? Do you think he will denounce the guest worker program and vow there would be none in a Cain administration? There are guest workers in the US now, and have been for decades — including during the Eisenhower years. Somehow I don’t envision Mr. Cain taking on that fight, but perhaps you do?

Are you suggesting that you are the judge of my credibility and that all you need to make a determination is to know my choice for the nomination?

Well, that sure seems childish.
