I said on the other thread people are rushing to conclusions. There is no evidence an affair happened. Here we have another female accuser with a history of being in financial trouble coming forward, rather conveniently, one might add. All one can say is the media “bimbo eruptions” are well timed.

What do you mean? We're not discussing the candidate's character. We giving credence to a liberal political dirty tricks operation. If he did all that - why wait 13 years to come forward with the truth? As the Romans would say - qui bono? Who benefits? The American people are not interested in Cain's sex life and the media seems to have a hearing problem. Which does not reflect poorly on the GOP brand but rather on the media itself.

Helping someone financially, may be helping them out with a job. She was being evicted again and had been evicted many times before. He may have also given her some money.

I gave an old handy man some extra money (more than once)until I realized he was lying to me.

She may have been using Cain and others to help her out.

Ronald Reagan had a pen-pal who had been a member of his fan club when he was an actor. He wrote to her over a very long period of time (50 years), even when he was president. Sometimes you know people that your spouse has not met and you consider a friend. If she had been like this woman, she could have made those letters from Reagan into something they were not.

Herman Cain picked the wrong friend to help. I've done the same thing in my life. You try to help someone who uses your friendship.

Exactly. If they had stayed at a swanky, high profile hotel, someone would have seen them a lot earlier. And that’s the least likely place I can think of to be carrying on an assignation with someone. Its interesting the media is fascinated with Cain’s alleged affair but they never once showed interest in the real-life affair John Edwards carried on with Rielle Hunter - which the tabloids covered. And if this happened, the tabloids would have broken it well before the MSM did. I don’t find that account very credible. High profile people who have affairs do a good job of keeping them a secret.

Your reasoning is exactly why Cain is doing so well and he keeps polling in the top tier. He focuses on the economy more than any of the other candidates and he has at the least the beginnings of real tax reform.

” It is the economy stupid “ as it was in the 1990s.

Not at all. I have male friends on my phone and text them as well. My major stinking point is that until you know the whole story here, his choice of friends is telling. Surrounding oneself with someone that “seems” to be of questionable character again doesn’t seem to be a personality positive. Maybe I have just become so sensitive to it all since Obama was elected and all his laundry was ignored or washed away. I have met Cain, and to be quite frank, he impressed the heck out of me. The past few weeks seemed out of character and I am willing to give a pass. We will have to see how this one shakes out.

13years? And his wife didn’t know who she was? And he was giving her money?

This guy is toast. Not because he is immoral, but because he cannot manage his personal life.

If this accuser shows proof, being a proven liar will be the shot below the water line that will sink him. If that happens, I will be genuinely sad about it. I really liked Mr. Cain.

Because he cannot manage his personal life.

Key term there is personal life. And any of the other candidates can and will be smeared with private issues, true or not, and the same conclusion can and will be drawn.

There is something to her posts. A little too much venom to be simply supporting another...

It is not always “another candidate” that drives the over the top illogic of some of these folks when going after Mr. Cain...

Have a “rational” view of all the candidates. Do not like Cain’s 999, 909 or 333. Do not feel comfortable with his lack of knowledge on foreign affairs...and lets see what happens with the most recent accusser. Fox News said there are cell phone messages, dates, etc. I see you use personal attacks against the freepers to try and persuade them to vote for Cain.
I support Newt 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If a man having an affair wi8th a woman while he is married is relevent in any way, why is Newt Gringrich surging?

Why is Clinton still such a “loved” president?

You want to let the left destroy our candidate(s), then let ‘em, I don’t give a crap.

Frankly, from what I have seen, conservatives, for the most part, are too ****in stupid to prevent Obama from being re-elected,

So see you at The Fall.

That’s a heap of financial trouble. Interesting that ABC is reporting it all.

Maybe ABC has decided they'd rather run against Cain than Newt...
