Ha, that happened to me with Newt. Only went back to watch after it seemed he was gone. The idea of Newt as president is chilling.

Newt has a conservative heart and mind, but he knows that to get things done you have to communicate effectively with others whose support you MUST garner - and that means you have to “appease” them (in a way) by showing you understand the rationale of their concerns and ideas. I could never do it - and so I will never be a pol. But someone MUST do it. And Newt knows how to do it. And his actual accomplishments (major laws passed on his watch) are conservative.
Newt is one of us ideologically.
Romney is the opposite.
Amen.
I like the fact he fought the EPA.
I like much about Perry.
I’ll wait to embrace him, however.

Rick Perry is going to try to void Obamacare by the executive branch. Nominate his Sec. of HHS and scrap all the rules because there’s hundreds of rules that HHS makes.
I like Perry. He’s now my number 2 choice. But, he doesn’t grasp the importance of killing Obamacare with legislation that says, “Repeal in its entirety.” Kill the beast with legislation, not with an executive order that the ACLU can challenge in court.

However, my mind was made up several weeks ago. I know you may still be ‘examining’ and I respect that but please, take time to research Gov Perry ok? Newt is establishment and is not clear on the essentials (imo) on Life, Liberty and the Pursuit of happiness. I see Newt as another that wants to dictate those things to you and I.
Yes, he does seem to have lost that sense of belligerence that he had in past years. If only it’s not an act. He IS good at making himself what he wants others to see.

Perry would repeal matters that are part of the executive branch.
Obama has over stepped his bounds in the executive office. Perry would reign that in on day one.
Another excellent idea by Perry. I’ve always thought lifetime appointments were a mistake. A long term, yes, but not lifetime.
And Perry has an attention span longer than 24 hours, so he will actually work on trying to get this done.
Bears repeating. New York 23 should have been in conservative hands. Thanks Newt.

Yes, and it’s a fair format to all of the candidates, plus we get to see them answer in detail.
I know all about the Iman’s he associates with...and what they believe as well as what they teach...especially the Aga Khan and his works nationally here as well as internationally.
All you stated...and I say this repsectfully OW...is exactly what is promoted about Perry and the Aga Khan...in order to make these relationships be palitable and accepted... however things are not always what they are promoted as we know.
As with many muslims...what they promote here and what they promote in their Mosques in their land is very different....additionally what they promote in their mosques and communities centers here and what they promote outside ot the community is equally different.
This is not a good thread to have discussion about this on...enough I do know what’s going on and Perry has been more than been tricked or he is simply deluding himself about muslims.
