I am a white fan. I prefer Quarterbacks, not runnings backs that can sometimes be counted upon to throw.;
I didn’t realize Andy Reid is black.
In the NBA, black coaches prefer black players.
Who knew this sort of trend might continue past age 14??

I guess that explains Tony Finger and Peyton Manning or Mike Tomlin and Big Ben. Yep. All makes sense now.
If I were a head coach, I would prefer a QB that consistently threw to his receivers instead of throwing to players on the othet team..../lol
Just look at Andy Reid, the racist. Starting Vick and McNabb, then choosing Young over Kafka, while trading away Kolb. And that time he had Garcia. What a jerk, not wanting black QB’s!!!!!!
And then there is Tomlin on the other side of the state who had 3 black QB’s backing up a white guy, which to me just proves that the black coach is keeping the black QB’s down.
Maybe its just the state of Pennsylvania that likes black QB’s. I mean, look where Randall Cunningham played.
I also wonder if Sanchez or Romo are considered white or non-white.
Black skateboarders don’t care; white skateboarders don’t care ... FYI.
But let's act like this is unique to professional football.
If someone really wants more black QB’s, dont look at the NFL. Look at the colleges that take every black QB in the south from HS and make them WR’s.
I was listening to a local sports show, where the guy made a pretty good point. In watching the Army HS All Star Game, every black kid was “exceptionally talented, with raw speed” while every white kid was “smart and deceptively fast.” I also remember a draft magazine a few years ago thaat graded Byron Leftwich as a good scrambler. I wonder why?
I think this article was created because of the Jordy Nelson question from a few weeks ago.
Even more disturbing is the profound lack of Samoan Wide Receivers.
Where’s the outrage over this blatant racism against Pacific Islanders?
Every venue is throwing the race card out...doesn’t Business Insider have a lot more to be concerned about than sports?
Patent BULLSHIT. Liars figure and figures lie.
Given that the % of blacks in the population as a whole are somewhere around 12%, the author's stats could very well be used to make the point that blacks are over-represented as both coaches and quarterbacks....
This seems to be inaccurate. Black coach/white QB in Indy, Cincy, Pittsburgh, Oakland, Chicago, Tampa, Minn. White coach/Black QB in Philly, Carolina (Rivera is actually hispanic), Seattle. To the best of my recollection, the rest are White/White. I am sure I am missing something, but regardless, there seems to be no such trend as described here.
This sounds like total BS!!! A good QB is a good QB regardless of whether he is black, white or polka-dotted!!
And, good QBs that can WIN are what coaches are MOST interested in!!
Worked in a federal courthouse, land of many democrat and liberal judges.
Funny but the Black judges tended to have more black clerks, the Irish judge always had one or both clerks Irish, Jewish judge had more Jewish clerks. Also true for their court reporters.
It’s called human nature. Like it or not.
I found it ironic that the only figures in that chart that accurately reflect the white-black composition among the population as a whole are the 88%-12% breakdown of starting quarterbacks playing for white coaches. By every other measure -- including the racial composition of head coaches, quarterbacks playing for black coaches, QBs playing for all coaches, backup QBs, etc. -- blacks are actually overrepresented compared to their proportion of the U.S. population as a whole.
