Newt is a grenade waiting to explode. If we nominee him we are finished.

If Zero will debate him then that grenade will go off under Zero's ass.

I don't think Zero will ever debate Newt, also I don't think the major networks will run Newt's paid advertizing. They all know that every time voters hear Newt making sense and taking it to Obama he gains support. They know they must silence him.

I know, I know, some say "There are always debates" .. well not this time. They will also say "The networks won't dare refuse Newt's ads" -- they WILL, and the justice department is run by criminals. Only some kind of near-instant intervention by the supreme court could force the networks to run the ads...maybe not even then.

Dirtiest and most fraud-ridden election EVER.

Newt will have the internet, talk-radio and Free Republic.

Like I said, I trust all the others a little less.

Every candidate has their weaknesses. None of them are all that good. You can make a case for each one of them not getting the votes of x demographic.

If Newt wins the nomination, he will be able to articulate why everyone (including women) should vote for him and not vote for the Marxist. None of the others can.

Sorry.

Clinton never broke 50% and the economy was great remember?

Nominating Newtigula is a disaster. Paul, Bachmann, Santorum, or Huntsman is a winning ticket.

A lot of indies (and some GOPers) that I know have told me that they would not vote for Newt.

Look for the Dems to flood the GOP primaries with Newt votes.

With so many Americans ignorant of tyranny, I do not have much hope that our Republic can once again turn towards Liberty.

You got it right. We may be toast. I guess things just are not bad enough yet. Sad.

“Zero fooled everyone in the first election. Won’t happen again. “

Yea, if we had listened to SAME TYPE OF POLLING as 1979 and most of 1980, Bush-41 would have been the nominee, and Reagan would have never been president. God only knows how bad this country would now be.

Statists at ALL levels of government are on a relentless march towards all out government control — they will bring evil upon our land. May God give us the wisdom and the strength to defeat the evil that is all around us.

The general electorate isn't even paying attention right now. Only a limited percentage of Republicans are paying attention right now. Most of these decision are made during the last month of any election.

These X versus Obama polls are absolutely meaningless and only the gullible are paying attention--or those with an ulterior motive.

October 26, 1980 Jimmy Carter led Ronald Reagan in the Gallop poll 47-39 and the average of the polls had the race neck and neck for the weeks leading up to the election at best.

Ronald Reagan won that election 51% to Carters 41% and Anderson's 7%.

LOL! Yeah, polls a year out from the election have a lot of meaning.

"Tell me how confident you are saying that?

I'll go with my 80-20 rule. That's 80 percent confident.

I'll add, something tells me zero will bow out and Pantsuit Hillary will be the democratic nominee.

How confident am I? Reverse the rule.

I would vote for a serial killer over Obama.

As would most women when the time comes.

I think you made my case.

I could handle Santorum or Bachmann, but they just haven't shown they can do it.

Paul? Sorry, the man is a couple of nuggets short of a happy meal.

The only thing important about this poll is that Obama can’t get over 50% against anyone.

“Oh cut the crap, do you really think the indies and women will vote for a stammering, stumbling, incoherent gaffer like Perry instead?”

Oh yeah. Just watch us. Rick Perry is the only true conservative in the race, a military veteran and an experienced political executive with a heck of an economic record.

You realize that Obama vs. Generic or Obama vs. X polls have no real meaning at this juncture... And they won’t until an actual candidate becomes the nominee, and the general election campaign begins.

Polls like this serve only one purpose. Create perceptions/narratives that can influence outcomes. They are not about reporting the news. They are about making it. It doesn’t matter who candidate X is. These polls will be used by media and establishment types to push one candidate over another. If for nothing else, the media likes them because they make for great headlines, help fill up air time of 24/7 news outlets, and provide words to fill pages of worthless papers/magazines.
