Thank God.
It would have been so simple to just stick an "e verify" requirement into the Tax Code ~ that's where any employee who isn't passed by e-verify becomes one whose salary or wages are no longer a legitimate business expense for the employer.
Are they awake over in the House?
Reddy Kilowatt is relieved.
Day late!
Home Depot stopped ordering 100 watt bulbs in October.
Who knows when G.E. stopped making them?
The bill doesnt actually amend the 2007 law,...
Why am I not surprised?
Well GOOD... I like having OPTIONS.....
And I just stocked up on 100w and 50-100-150 watt bulbs.
Not a lot of them but several year’s worth.
That means the cases of lightbulbs I have been stocking up with over the last couple years to sell on the black market when the ban goes into effect are now essentially worthless. Curse you Republicans for ruining my retirement plans!!!
This increasing use of kicking the can down the road by not making things permanent is disturbing.
In a twisted sort of way, I was hoping the ban would become reality.
The average big government voter would be confronted with a reminder of his own stupidity - on a regular basis.
I also have some applications that I will only use incandescent bulbs....so I do have a bit of a stock of these...
I have to look at this positively. I now won’t have to buy 100-watt bulbs for the rest of my life.
Oh no! I guess this means my investment in 200 100W light bulbs will not give me a good ROE!
YEAH!
The DUMBEST f’ing idea that has come out of congress in a century.
And it only cost 50-65,000 US manufacturing jobs.
Thank You Jesus. Finally, a glint of sanity.
If they are still illegal to sell, then where are you going to buy them? No retailer is going to sell them even if the law is not enforced and no manufacturer is going to make them if they are technically illegal.
This provision does NOTHING!
Piss on these wimps in Congress. REPEAL the law!!
Thanks, Guys. Now that I have a 20 year supply tucked into my attic...
In Panama, our Philips light bulbs are made in India and are distributed to Costa Rica, Mexico, and Venezuela who redistribute them throughout Latin America.
No shortage of 100 watts here.
