I tell you one thing, the mittbots are on slavishly thick tonight, so we’re definitely witnessing one of many flashpoints of Romney spending in terms of opinion-shaping on the interwebs AND on the ground.

She is NOT attacking the Tea party. She is a key Tea party person. Gingrich is a “progressive.” He has no relation to Tea Party people.

If Newt is the leader of any Tea Party group, that group has either been co-opted by the GOP or is not a real Tea Party group. to be a real Tea Party member, you have to be anti-Establishment. Otherwise, you are merely a stooge of the GOP.

13 SC Tea Party Leaders Blast Bachmann Tactics – Patch Nearly a month after a SC spokesman for Rep. Michele Bachmann accused Newt Gingrich of trying to buy off the state’s Tea Party leaders by bringing them on as staffers, more than a dozen of the movement’s leaders are fighting back.

This would suggest that she was correct !

"13 leaders of the SC Tea Party movement "

So how do you get the job of being a tea party leader? Are you elected, turn in a job application or maybe setup a web site?

The only man she doesn’t blast is Romney. Why? She’s angling for the VP slot.

One things for sure. Can’t tell how all this stuff is playing out. We are essentially flying blind. Latest polls are getting stale and don’t reflect the impact last week’s events.

I did hear Michele make the statement about Newt buying off the Tea Party.

I must admit, I was really confused. Why in the world would she cast doubt on the integrity of the very people who support her just to try and Newt look bad?

Bad move, imho.

Gosh even the Tea Party wants a RINO......so sad. Poor other candidates are getting beat up by a girl......PATHETIC. Complaining about it is REALLY pathetic.

Newt Gingrich at a September 3, 2008 event with Michele Bachmann entitled Governing and Political Change, explains his position on Fannie and Freddie. He also details that he did consulting work for them, and that those who profited from the institutions should have to pay.
Michele Bachmann is standing next to him, and she knows here recent accusations against Gingrich about Fannie/Freddie are false.

If you accept, as most do, that it’s a four person race now, she’s doing what she has to do and running against the four.

This is how primaries work. Candidates run against each other, if you think she’s taken it too far, then don’t vote for her, but don’t blame her for playing the game.

Sad news, folks.

I received a Tea Party email promoting Newt on December 6, well before this last debate.

The lightweight and newbies have started endorsing either Mittens or Newtems.

The establishment is offering carrots and sticks. The prospect of a political career with Republican party backing, or being left out in the cold.

Some of the Tea Party official groups that I get emails from are showing that they’re becoming simply an arm of the establishment.

Whatever, dudes, I’m not listening any more to the “organizers”.

Seems for the last 2 years they loved Michele in Congress fighting their battles.

Now, when it comes down to it, principles don’t matter, getting a President elected is what matters.

What good can Tea Party Congress members do if the establishment takes the WH and we’re down to what ? Maybe a couple dozen of the whole 2010 “freshman class” of Reps is not bought off at this point, worrying about their re-election and obeying their establishment “mentors” so they can “make a difference” “down the road”.

Didn’t they see Mr. Smith Goes to Wash ? Can’t they see they’re going to wind up being Claude Rains ? And that there is NO POINT.

If we wanted a bought-off party-establishment horse-trader - WE WOULD NOT HAVE NEEDED TO HAVE THE TEA PARTY OF 2010.

Michele-8%-Bachmann is starting to act like every mans ex-wife.

She’s cutthroat, crazy and she won’t shut up..

Bachman's attacks on Newt seem hypocritical in light of her calling him the "architect" of the conservative movement and a "renaissance man" in this video

Newt should use it in his campaign to show her "flip-flop" on his qualifications.

As an independent conservative, I am actually starting to lean toward Bachmann due to all these counterfeit conservatives whining and crying about how mean she is to their favorite progressive big government Republican.

If the Tea Party wants to pick candidates then cut out the tease, incorporate as a for-real political party and nominate slates of candidates, local and national. Right now, the tea party is operating as an elitist top-down entity but without any culpability. Kinda like the Republicans only without the “ethics.”
