Newt with his past accomplishments in government has earned it.

Do you really trust anyone who has been in the cesspool as long as Newt? I know I don’t.

You must have a better knowledge of cesspools than I do.

They are foul and if you spend time in them you risk becoming foul. Washington is foul and Newt has existed in the foulness for years. There is a very real chance that he has been tainted. I’d much prefer an outsider.

That being said ... what if Sarah jumps in as a “write-in” candidate? Everybody can spell “Palin”
_________________________________________________________

It would be spelled O B A M A

Wow... I didn't know OBAMA was running for Republican nomination.... /s

I would write her in for the primary if she throws her hat in.

Wait, didn't Bob Dole earn it?

I really don't like the idea of candidates who do this kind of c*ap.

Offering voters another choice?

If Palin wanted to run she should have come out with the rest of the candidates and participated in the debates.

Palin was the shining star for me in the last Presidential Election. Now she seems to be playing games with everyone.

I simply don't care for this kind of politics. It's not another choice for me as a voter, it's just Sarah Palin flexing her sagging political capital.

Just how I feel about the whole situation.

I've never seen Sarah in a debate, but I agree with McGruff, Sarah could not win against Gingrich. I think she would be in the same position on the debating scale as Michelle Bachman. And the same MSM target as Herman Cain.

I'm on the same wave length as SoCnPubbie. I don't like this kind of politics. If this is what Sarah Palin’s game plan is I don't like it.

I was a Herman Cain supporter and still have not determined who my candidate is - but if Sarah Palin gets in the race, it won't be her. As far as I am concerned, she's lost all her political capital with me and I think may other undecided.

And she would not win. Not because I would not vote for her, because I might, but because of who she is seen as by the media and the establishment. And you know exactly what I mean.c

So you're cool with our choices being limited to those candidates acceptable to the media and the establishment? Great. We'll never get out of the mess we're in if a majority of conservatives adopt that line of thinking.

That’s fine, support the candidate of your choice and work to get him/her the nomination. Palin entering the race shouldn’t affect you.

She would not win in a debate against Gingrich.

But she would beat him in an election.

I of course have no idea whether she’ll jump in late, but had she jumped in early the press would have aimed exclusively at her and none of the other candidates would have been vetted.

She’s more than paid her dues, as has her family. If she figured the way she could run without dragging her family around for 18 months or needing to sell out to special interests in order to raise the cash she’d need, those are sufficient reasons for me.

“The system that we use is not what the Founders wanted.”

The government we have is everything they tried to prevent.
