Excellent quote! I will vote for Santorum. He’s the only conservative left. His speech on Iowa Caucus night was outstanding.I hope you were able to see it.

Newt. Baggage be damned, seems they all have baggage. Put the person in there who has the ability to convince the voters he can do better than Obama, cause I don’t think the others can.

Newt!!! I want someone who wants to do the work that needs to be done rather than someone who wants the office and title. I want a bulldog who will fight for what is right, knows where the bodies are buried, and knows how to get things done. I have no doubt that Newt will stand up to democrats, the media, and establishment republicans alike to get the country going in the right direction.

IN a nutshell.

Disconcerting that more people, especially Freepers, don't understand this.

Rick Santorum. I know he’s awful in debates, but comes off as presidential in town hall meetings. I support him but am afraid he might not do well against Hussein.

Mitt (Glove) Romney: A one-termer when they see he’s Obama lite.

Newt (salamander) Gingrich: Too much of a crybaby whiner.

Rick Perry (George Bush the third) Need I say more?

Jon Huntsman. Did you know he’s Mitt’s 4th cousin?

Ron Paul. Look at his goofy body language. What a nut. I’ll vote Obama if he’s the nominee.

Buddy Roemer. Who?

1. Santorum - Reasonably conservative, who is about the only one talking with any level of honesty about the biggest spending problems we have: Social Security and Medicare.

2. Gingrich - just because he can make the libs howl in agony. Pretty sharp, but the photo ops with sniveling whackjobs (i.e., Nanzi Pelousy) don't help him a bit.

3. Perry - Halfway decent governor who had the good graces to keep his hands out of my pocket as much as possible.

4. Romney - About the best thing we can say about this joker is that he's not really part of the Chicago Democrat Mafia.

5. Pat Paulsen - A more effective speaker than TOTUS, and in his current condition, he can't do much harm.

6. Jim Thompson - In your heart, you know he's the right man for the job.

7. Ron Paul - C'mon...are you kidding?

Newt, Perry or Santorum

Given the current field, I'd say any of the three would be acceptable. Each has flaws, but none so fatal as to be in Romney territory.

At this moment, I'd probably take them in the order listed. But close enough that I could easily change my mind.

Perry. Didn’t even support him for governor. He’s the only one left who is actually offering an interesting concept: part-time Congress.

You do know, of course, that this is just a gimmick to set himself apart?

He - and you should - know this wouldn't have a snow-balls chance in hell
