Former Gingrich Wife Says He Asked for ‘Open Marriage’

EXCERPT

Paraphrasing Marianne Gingrich’s account, Mr. Ross said, “He came to her and said I want to stay married to you and still have an affair with Callista.” Marianne said Mr. Gingrich asked her “share” him, Mr. Ross said. That was unacceptable to her and the marriage ended.

I think anything is possible with a Conservative “independent” candidate entering the debate after the nominees are solidified. It could be a Republican yet to be named that doesn’t go the nominee track.

What are the advantages?
- No “shark chumming” during the lengthy debate process.
- less money spent trying to get nominated.

I’m for whomever can bet Obama. Right now, no one stands out or inspires.

As for how they could beat Obama? During the election process, point out all the things he has done that shows his lack of executive and capitalism experiences. No matter what, it is still all about jobs right now. You can’t pin the total debt on Obama, but you can point out things that he is trying to change that are fundamental to being an American. Mark Levin’s new book is a good template to use in attack ads against Obama.

I know Romney’s position on abortion, mormonism, and mass. healthcare has made him a no-go candidate among certain conservatives. He could ask for forgiveness on these issues but it won’t matter. In their opinion, he has blood on his hands.

With that said, here at the general issues I see:

Family - Romney, Santorum
Executive experience - Romney
Foreign policy - well, anyone can spout anything during an election, but none of them have any real experience, other than personal traveling.
Military - None really, except for Ron Paul.

Newt is able to crystallize an argument greater than any conservative has been able to in a long time. But, he ain’t going to be elected in a general election. He’s good to have on the presidential debate podium because it makes the other candidates step up their game. A very unique person whose intellectualism surpasses his electability.

“So then you will have an open marriage with Mitt and the socialists. Enjoy your crumbs.”

By commenting on Newt’s toastliness, I am not, in fact, causing him to be toast. He did that to himself. I made no toast. I own no crumbs.

Likewise, you absence of comment about Newt’s toastliness will not save him from being toast.

Cheers!

OK, Newt is a serial adulterer of low morals, and you seem to have no problem with that. He is a deceitful liar who cheated on two wives and is married to the third wife/former mistress. So, put on your rose colored glasses and pretend you are a social conservative, hypocrite.

Newt's first wife was a school teacher who dated Newt while he was still in HS. Newt's second wife was the lady who Newt was screwing around with when he cheated on his first wife.

Given the above, it's hard to feel sorry for both of those women. As far as Newt goes, he is clearly flawed.

Certainly my current support for him is on a short leash.

Given the dynamics of the race and the nature of the four candidates who remain in the race, if I were a voter in SC, I would vote for Newt.

So, put on your rose colored glasses and pretend you are a social conservative, hypocrite.

What utter nonsense. You don't know anything about me and you've documented no hypocrisy on my part.

Let the record show that flaglady will resort to personal attacks and false claims when she is challenged.

If I were in SC I’d vote for Santorum without thinking twice. Newt complains that Romney flip flops, which he does BTW, while Newt actually states that he has changed, asked the Lord for forgiveness and gotten himself right. No more serail adultery for Newt! I trust him as much as I would trust Bill Clinton but would vote for him or Romney over the Prince. Of course I’m pissed that this is the best that our side can do. Good grief there has to be better candidates representing conservatives than this crew.

Few voters held Reagan’s or McCain’s divorces against them. The difference is that Newt (like Giuliani) met #3 while married to #2 and met #2 while married to #1. That constitutes a pattern.

As the old saying goes, “A man who marries his mistress creates a job vacancy.”

I agree that Gingrich’s behavior shows a lack in moral integrity, but I’m not sure how relevant that will be to modern decision making. We are in a post-morality era. If it doesn’t personally affect you, you don’t care.

Prime example, Marianne had no problem cheating with Newt on the first Mrs. Gingrich, but when she found herself to be the one cheated on, suddenly she’s found her moral imperative. Conversely, Calista had no problem being the third wheel in a marriage, but I wonder how she will feel when it’s her turn to be the victim?

Keeping Newt on a short leash, I would say that If I was a voter in SC, I would vote for Newt.

How do you keep hiom on a short leash? He's wildly undisciplined and thinks he's the smartest guy in politics and if we don't like a position he decides to take it's because we're not smart enough to see what he's doing. Sound familiar? After he madde the couch commercials with Pelosi Hannity asked him why he did it and he said "Global warming is a fact and I'm the only conservative who sees that there's a need to craft a conservative approach tro the pronblem." I don't trust him as far as I can throw him. I'll move my support to Santorum, FWIW.

“Marianne had no problem cheating with Newt on the first Mrs. Gingrich, Marianne had no problem cheating with Newt on the first Mrs. Gingrich”

Yeah; I can’t understand why Marianne is so upset. He is what he is. What the hell did she expect?

Not sure what she calls it but I call it hypocrisy. Plain and simple. She was “the other woman” and she is upset that there was another “other woman”. The worm turns.

But what's the common denominator between all these 'other women'? It's the lying, cheating weasel they were all married to.

So how would you feel about a man dumping your daughter for a newer model, a few weeks after her being diagosed with MS?

Happy, a little pissed off, or couldn’t give a rats ass?

Newt once said that global warming was a fact. Since the data scandal Newt nolonger says that GW is a fact.

Myself, I've never concluded that it is fact.

As I also said, Newt is flawed. As I said, both Santorum and Newt are about 90% conservative.

Now, shall I post for you the long list of Santorum things that he has done that is liberal?

you absence of comment about Newt’s toastliness will not save him from being toast.

Perhaps, I don't wish to comment on a person who has been bitter for how many years? At this point, they aren't even rational. Bitterness takes it toil and life will be however they see it and want to remember it. That's her character - bitterness. An event doesn't make one bitter it only brings it out. What is toast is her life - dried up hard and crusty. Win or lose, Newt will still be jovial and mitt will still be a backstabber and Perry will still be a Patriot.

The toast you should be concerned about is America.
