NOTICE to leftists, RINOs, establishment types, bots and trolls
Jan 20, 2012 | Jim Robinson

Posted on 01/20/2012 10:59:14 PM PST by Jim Robinson

Leftists, MittBots, PaulBots, RINOs, Karl Rove establishment types and trolls of many stripes and colors have one-by-one driven our leading grassroots conservative candidates out of the race. They worked for years on Palin, then Perry, then Cain, then Bachmann, now Newt. When ever a non-establishment, non-RINO conservative gets into the lead they open fire and 24/7 trash and torpedo until they drive them out.

NO MORE!!

If you want to troll and trash our conservative candidates, take your business elsewhere! PaulBots can take it to a liberaltaraian site. RomneyBots to FOX News. RINO trolls to the NY Times. Lib trolls to DU. Abortionist/statist trolls to hell. I don’t care where you go, but if you’re here to trash Newt 24/7, I’m gunning for your azz!!

REBELLION IS HERE!!

WAR IS HELL!!

DON’T TREAD ON ME!!

I just got a freepmail from someone whose screen name is “NewMexcio John” trashing FR and you personally. The tenor of the mail seemed to be in response to this thread. Since I didn’t even post on this thread I suspect he is mass mailing the same message to lots of regular posters.

And more black folks dislike Moochelle than you might think. Think ‘Oprah on ‘Roids and that’s how many of them view the First Wookie. Believe it.

Many 0bama voters will be voting at least twice.

Look, I agree with you, and I will do what I can to defeat the Kenyan Marxist tyrant, but I don’t think Newt can do it.

I never said he can’t run his private property the way he wants. He’s free to do so. It’s his decision. My decision is that I’m going to, when I want, express my honest opinion about Newt. The man is about as conservative as Teddy Roosevelt and Alexander Hamilton, which Newt not only admits but shouts.

Hypothetical:

I go into your house, express my poinion that your wife needs a diet and hit on your teenage daughter. Do you feel it’s acceptable for me to express my opinion in your house? Because “I’ll do it if I want to?”

Yes or no.

Is it ‘right”?

Yes or no.

The insider the insiders can't control,

 and they're scared to death...

Newt terminator

"We have before us an ordeal of the most grievous kind. We have before us many, many long months of struggle and of suffering. You ask, what is our policy? I will say: It is to wage war, by television, blog, and debate, with all our might and with all the strength that God can give us; to wage war against a monstrous tyranny never surpassed in the dark, lamentable catalogue of American politics. That is our policy. You ask, what is our aim? I can answer in one word: It is victory, victory at all costs, victory in spite of all lies, victory, however long and hard the road may be. " ~ Bobalu of Free Republic Fame

Go Newt!!

Let’s turn this into a non-Hypothetical. When I go to my in-laws house, my father-in-law wants to talk politics from time to time. He’s a retired teacher, head of his union local that led his union to strike, twice, ten years apart. Needless to say, he an I don’t agree on much and on a few things we disagree to our very cores. He has enough love for me and I have enough love for him not to attack him personally and express myself in a respectful way.

If I were to express my dislike of Newt in a way that was deceitful or in a way that was disrespectful to other conservatives, that would be wrong.

Jim:

Are the 6 or 10 Ron Paul supporters who periodically post on FR *really* that much of a threat? Any new Ron Paul supporter who posts on this site is already zotted in short order. That leaves a handful of long term FReepers who for whatever reason have chosen to support Ron Paul. My reasons are largely philosophical, but also practical. I’m a Virginian. I have two choices: Ron Paul or mitt.

There is no need for a bug zapper thread; you could count out the remaining number of Ron Paul supporters on FR on your fingers and ban us in less time than it takes to put together a post.

As for Newt Gingrich, I have better things to do than make his candidacy my reason for getting up in the morning. As I’ve said before, I would pick him any day of the week and twice on Sunday over mitt romney. That said, I think he is a very poor candidate. He has more baggage than samsonite, has an unfortunate knack for gaffes, and has little on the ground organization. What organization Team Newt does have seems to be unable to get it’s act straight. One recent example: our radio airwaves are full of expensive ads arguing that Newt Gingrich is the true conservative in the race. But this is in Virginia, where Newt isn’t even on the primary ballot.

Newt’s debating skills are of course legendary. But no one has explained why barky would be dumb enough to agree to a series of debates should Newt be the nominee.

Newt could do a great job of unifying the 30%-40% of the population who already agrees with him politically. What about the other 60%-70% that isn’t already inclined to support him? Yes, Newt Gingrich might be another Ronald Reagan. Just another Ronald Reagan without the personal morals, organization, or the ability to keep his foot out of his mouth.

This is your website and you’re of course free to ban anyone you want for any reason or no reason at all. The theme of the website is your choice as well. At one time FR was known as a place where conservatives of pretty much any stripe could (hotly) debate issues. That’s what attracted me and why I’m still here, thousands of posts later.

Is your vision for FR a place where only conservatives who buy into your particular (and constantly evolving) view of conservatism are welcome? If so, then it **is** time for me to move on. I guess I’ll know if I’m still allowed to post here tomorrow. I don’t expect to be. So let me thank you for allowing me to post here for so many years. I’ve enjoyed it and wish you the best.

Darksheare: I suspect that this is probably my opus. If so, please send my FRegards to the UT. I’ll miss you and the rest of the UT.

Chuck Norris needs to go on a short road trip and convince his Texas neighbor, Ted Nugent, to ride along on the Newt-Train.

If you want to duck it, fine.

In this non hypothetical on FR the equivalent to your FIL told you at the door today that bashing Newt and any other conservative was now off limits.

So do you

A: Follow his direction:
B: Bash anyway / argue with him about it since that’s your expression of opinion
C: Say “OK see ya” and leave?

Because that’s exactly the choice you have here and you claim B is perfectly acceptable when it morally/ethically/and in decency/respect it is not.

There is one thing, though, about banning the morons who don’t support Newt... I do support Newt very much, and I have learned a lot about how to “gently” point out things to nonnewters I encounter on other boards from the prolific writers and practicers of art here at FR. Although I do like the idea of squashing them, also.

I agree. I'd like to see a Facebook link and a Twitter link.

Once those two catch fire, F.R. would be an even bigger force to reckon with.

Gosh, I sure wish you would have clamped down on this BEFORE these other people were so viciously attacked and eventually run out of the race. The Perry supporters suffered relentless vicious attacks from the likes of org.whodat and even some of the mods.

Result? Lots of Texans dropped out of the Freepathon, taking their donations with them.

And not just Texans. Many non-Texans as well. But Texans got the worst of it as Freepers were allowed to insult every aspect of not only Rick Perry, but every single aspect of the great state of Texas. Southerners in general were also slandered, as certain Freepers (Miss Marmelstein, are you listening?) accused Texans in particular and southerners in general of being slack-jawed, ignorant knuckle draggers, among many other despicable charges.

Who wants to pay for a site that allows (and even seems to encourage—at least as far as the mods go) these kinds of attacks? Something I pondered more than once, asking myself, why pay a monthly donation for THIS?

So ok, maybe this post isn’t about raising money for the freepathon—the point the post seems to make is to quit tearing down our conservative candidates. I echo the call, but darn it, its just a few weeks too late to do much good.

It’s at least several weeks too late for me to ever feel civil toward a lot of Freepers I once admired, let alone work with them for ANY purpose. And many of the ones on the attack back then are mods. The owner (JimRob) says one thing; those that enforce the rules say another.

Sad day in Freeperville. Now that the milk’s spilt, we get the warning that the milk might spill.
