Israeli officials told visiting USS Chief Joint of Staffs Martin Dempsey that it would give President Barack Obama no more than 12 hours notice if and when it attacks Iran, The London Times reported Sunday.

The Netanyahu government also will not coordinate with the United States an attack on the Islamic Republic, according to the report, the latest in a number of suposed scenarios concerning cooperation or lack of it between Jerusalem and Washington.

IMO Israel should give the warning and then just wait to see if Zero alerts the Iranians. Then they will know that when the time really comes to keep Zero in the dark.

"No more than 12" does not equal "will give 12".

If they are smart (I mean, you know, c'mon!) they will give him a call before the satellites see the flashes - about six seconds before.

If they scheduled the attack for 7:00 am local time, that would be 3:00 pm Eastern time. Giving Obama the warning 12 hours beforehand would give him the 3:00 am phone call he’s been talking about for the last few years.

I might give him 12 seconds warning, but that's about as much as I would be willing to give him; because as sure as the sun rises in the east, Obama would alert Iran to the imminent attack.

There is still the issue of the time between telling 0’ how much notice there would be, to the time actually doing so and carrying it out.

I would like and hope Netenyahu would make those two conveyances at the SAME TIME, in the SAME MESSAGE.
