Carney Asked if ‘Saul Alinsky Portrait’ Is Hanging in the White House
The Blaze ^ | 01-23-12 | Tiffany Gabbay

During a White House press briefing on Monday, Fox News’ Ed Henry asked Press Secretary Jay Carney if the White House displays a portrait of Saul Alinsky for its staff to look up to. Carney’s answer was less than direct, and would seem to hint that there just might be something to the Alinsky portrait rumors.

“I wonder if you could clear something up,” Henry began.

“Newt Gingrich keeps saying on the campaign trail that the President’s vision comes from Saul Alinsky, the community organizer. I haven’t heard you asked about him but… Is there some kind of portrait of him hanging up in the White House that people look up to or is this BS?”

“Look,” Carney said. “The President’s background as a community organizer is well documented in his own books. His experience in that field contributed to who he is today. But his experiences abroad also included alot of other areas in his life. So I’ll just leave it at that.”

Judging by Carney’s evasive answer, I would most definitely say that the answer is “yes”

The video is worth watching. Carney seems to have turned a corner, from being uncomfortable when lying for the president, to actually enjoying it.

Not a good spiritual place to be in, Jay, not a good place.

Yes, I think it was targeted at Newt, who probably was up to all kinds of lecherous deeds at that time. But Newt and the Republican PTB (Powers That Be) should know that most Americans would rather have a serial adulterer than a traitorous Marxist in the White House.

You will be glad to hear that tonight Larry Kudlow had Dick Armey on and said (IIRC) “Newt keeps talking about Obama being a follower of Saul Alinski. Can you tell our audience who that is?”

Armey says IIRC “Obama was totally raised up under the Alinski model and methods in school and with the community organizing in Chicago. We in the Tea Party know all about Alinski. We have adopted some of Alinski’s methods to do good!”

What’s the documentation that this is genuine? Not that it would surprise me.

I saw Kudlow tonight and caught that interchange. As an aside, I don’t trust Armey any further than I can throw him for some reason.

I read the reporter's question as not totally serious. How does it follow the fact that Gingrich says his vision comes from Alinsky?

I haven't heard rumors about an Alinsky portrait yet. Were there rumors about that?

Nothing (and I realllly mean nothing) about Obama would surprise me, but this just seems weird. I would expect him to have a portrait of someone less obscure if anyone.

“I saw Kudlow tonight and caught that interchange. As an aside, I don’t trust Armey any further than I can throw him for some reason.”

Armey is a Koch Bros. operative (not that there is anything wrong with that in a capitalist system) and was being used by the Kochs as a back door effort to undermine Obama by funding and co-opting (shaping in a way favorable to the Kochs) the relatively small portion of the Tea Party effort that Pelosi described as “astroturf.”

Since then the Citizen's United case allows the Koch's to use SuperPAC money to accomplish a lot of the same things directly.

That’s disgusting. The new occupant of the WH next year is going to have to disinfect the whole joint stem to stern.

wouldn't be the first time.

Today, I listened to Michael Medved tell a caller that Alinsky was just a liberal democrat and that his influence on Obama should not be discussed in this election. He added that republicans use Alinsky's political 'persuasion' techniques also.

Swat the commie sob “president's” feet off his desk in the Oval Room, grab him out of his chair and stuff his idol Big Sol Alinsky’s picture in his hand and march this enemy within OUT of OUR White House.

And don't forget to hang the Christmas tree ornament of Mao on Moochelle’s ear, so they can both have something to remember “Hope and Change” by as they hit the pavement.

Try em’ and jail em’.
