You have the ultimate power of censorship. If you don't like what Mr. Drudge is putting on his website....then don't go there!

If you don't like what you read or see there; for pete's sake...STOP GOING TO THE SITE!

Mr. Drudge, fox msm, oreilly's site, hannity's site, beck's site, et al, don't exist to fit either your requirements or your perception.

Matt Drudge Now Has 9 Negative Stories On Newt, Zero On Romney

This is called desperation and I suspect it has something to do with internal polling at the National level.

This isn’t rocket surgery. The group of people once called the “GOP base” can’t decide which it loathes more...the MSM and talking heads, Obama and the Libs, or the party that opposes it’s own platform.

As such, the ‘establishment” encompassing the above icons of scorn, realized in 10 that they were all in deep crap since their traditional methods of controlling us failed utterly. Now as we go into the 12 election, they spent the last year trying the same crap to rope us back onto the Ponderosa without success. So they just fall bck on blaming us for our lack of intelligence and ‘vision’.

At this point, If Newt was found with a dead girl, a live boy and the family Schnauzer, I’d still crawl naked over cut glass to vote for him if for no other reason than to watch their Utopia burn.

Agreed.

Newt, of all people, needs to be smacked upside-the-head on a regular basis.

Drudge was real helpful in taking down Perry, too.

I doubt Drudge is a Romney fan, but he’s not a Gingrich believer, and who can blame him. He’s facing the same quandry we all are: the entire Republican field stinks (Ron Paul appears more principled than most, but also has serious weaknesses).

G*d save America.

That’s not the point.

The point is are we going to nominate/elect a man without serving him notice that we’re on to him and we have expectations that he better meet?

Giving Gingrich a pass is neither necessary nor helpful, even if one is all-in for him.

Please. Gingrich is the frontrunner and the frontrunner always gets the most negative attention.

There's a lot of truth to that statement, but it's also obvious if you've been paying any attention to the Drudge Report that Matt Drudge is intensely anti-Newt. He has been flooding his page with anti-Newt stories non-stop. There have been several other candidates who been out in the front at various times and none of them have received this kind of over-the-top hostile propagandizing from Drudge.

So being conservative means being against the “establishment”?

I’ve said it before, I don’t know how people can be out of their heads concerning Mitt Romney and then turn around and act like Newt is the next Reagan.

I think a good point is that they’re both professional politicians, Romney less so. I really fear they both are more committed to personal success than to conservative success. Time will tell. I am confident that one of these men will be the next president of the US. I’m also hoping that we conservatives won’t self-destruct because we don’t have the perfect candidate and end up getting four more years of Obama. Either Newt or Romney will do a better job of leading our country if elected. For that matter, so would porky pig.

If you don't see anymore than that in this, then you simply aren't paying attention, or you're a Romney supporter.

It's glaringly obvious now that Drudge and Coulter both are bought and paid for hired guns for Romney, and therefore, the GOP establishment. Everyone on FR should be against that.

Newt and Newt, Inc. is a target-rich environment. There's no way around it.

There's so much stuff out that's not even close to being contained on Drudge. THIS, not Newt's messy marriages, THIS burgeoning archive of political garbage is what people were warning about when referring to Newt's baggage.

Such as here's a story that I saw a few minutes ago only because it was in a sidebar to an article I was reading:

Newt Gingrich, Marianne and the Arms Dealer: A Buried FBI Investigation.

This is the sort of thing (plus Monica Lewinsky) we are going to be dealing with in 2012 if Newt is our nominee.

Doesn't mean we have an alternative. But we do need to be real about who this man is and what we'd have to do to get him elected.

You mean like the tea party candidates in Washington that haven’t delivered? So where are all the great conservative presidential candidates who will deliver? We are having to choose between the lesser of “two evils” and that’s the real point. Gingrich is the lesser evil of the two.

No. It’s not desperation. It’s called “traffic.”

Drudge is running a business and he puts out what brings traffic to his site and generates buzz.

That is all.
