AND NOW . . . amidst billowing clouds of fragrant, aromatic first- and second-hand premium cigar smoke. . . it is time for . . . that harmless, lovable little fuzz ball, the highly-trained broadcast specialist, having more fun than a human being should be allowed to have, from behind the golden EIB microphone, firmly ensconced in the prestigious Attila-the-Hun chair at the Limbaugh Institute of Advanced Conservative Studies, serving humanity simply by showing up, and he’s not retiring until every American agrees with him, do NOT doubt him, with shrieks of joy at the mere mention of his name (that’s Rush, for those in Rio Linda),the Mandarin of Talk Radio, with talent on loan from G-d, at the cutting-edge of societal evolution, with half his brain tied behind his back — just to make it fair, the all-knowing, all-caring, all-sensing, all-feeling, all-concerned Maha-Rushie! America’s anchorman, truth detector, and doctor of democracy. A Real Man, a living legend, a way of life. Commander in Chief of U.S. Operation Chaos. Chief Waga-Waga El Rushbo of the El Conservo Tribe. Chief of the Patriotism Police. Leader of the Conservative Movement. A Weapon of Mass Instruction. El Rushbo (a little Spanish lingo, there). He is the man who is running America (you know it and I know it). He knows the Democrats like every square inch of his glorious naked body. He is ready to do what he was born to do—that’s host. Get ready to what you were born to do—that’s listen (and post your comments on the Rush Limbaugh LIVE Radio Thread).

It has gotten so bad that people are circulating a story that Calista had a lady arrested for breast feeding in our neighborhood. The anti-Newt people are in a frenzy.

Nope. People are trolls for purposefully coming on a thread to start fights. Coming on to consistently whine about whatever pet issue isn’t getting discussed just to start a fight because you didn’t get enough attention from your parents and this is the only way you can get someone to pay you any mind is sad and trollish behavior.

There’s been plenty of criticism of Rush on this thread. Plenty of people not called trolls. Coming on this thread to tell me you’ve had a hissy fit and aren’t listening to Rush any longer serves 0 purpose, provides 0 rational discussion and is the behavior of a troll.

Of course, I don’t go places to complain about the topic. I don’t seek out Ron Paul threads to call him names or insult people. People who do that are just as equally trolls as the people who behave in like manner on this thread.

If you can’t see that, I could care less. If you think I blindly follow Rush, you’re free to think whatever you wish. If you can’t see the difference between a presidential candidate and an entertainer, please stay away from voting booth.

Bain Capital owns Clear Channel. Rush has gone to the dark side.

It is very apparent..it's the liberal gay Gop against the rest of us.

Ann Coulter, known (Goproud supporter), Drudge (alleged gay ..well just look at him) his editor Brit Hume (had a gay son) and everyone on the net who is parroting Drudge's all-day-long attack on Newt with no...no Romney negatives. And refusing to post any rebuttals from anyone here or elsewhere.

They are fighting for the heart of the GOP and Rush is falling for their setup.

“What’s ridiculous is how people are upset with everyone but the person who actually SAID the things being reported. If I ever become a blind follower of someone in that manner, please, please, please, slap the snot out of me.”

Yes and no. What’s the point in allowing yourself to become distressed at something Newt said? You could probably go back through the history of any politician and find hundreds of silly and contradictory statements. What’s the point? I’m not interested in vetting Newt anymore. I already know I prefer him over the other candidates, and nothing anyone can possibly post is going to change my mind. I don’t see that as being a “blind follower” - I see that as having made up my mind and resent a vast and powerful group of people using media propaganda in an attempt to change it.

I’m wondering if Rush wants Obama!

I'm in a total funk today. Everywhere I turn (Fox News, Drudge, Rush Limbaugh) it is full-on attack Newt.

I watched Newt's VERY inspiring speech about the future of space yesterday ...twice. I did so because it was uplifting and encouraging and filled with evidences of American greatness, proven many times in history.

Today, all we hear is Newt wants people on the moon, making it sound like he's nuts (which we can do with anybody when comments are taken totally out of context).

For years Rush preaches conservatism over Republicanism, yet when it comes down to crunch time will not call Romney for what he is ...a Massachusetts moderate with extreme leftward leanings.

So go Rush, do your "Operation Bombastic" and help prolong the process until Mitt is the eventual winner (and who said you couldn't buy an election???).

Going back to my funk...

Rush is being pressured by Romney (he just said so) and is now doing “damage control” ...he’s caught in the middle of forces far more powerful than his syndicated show.

Hmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Is Rush living paycheck to paycheck? Is he worried that if he loses his job, he may end up sleeping on the street?
Is Rush worried that he lacks marketable skills? He's just lucky to have this current job and if he loses it, he might never work again?
Is Rush trying to establish a name for himself as a good soldier, and is he worried that some folks might start to call him a rabble-rouser?

Exactly why is Rush susceptible to pressure from ANYONE??

“I can’t help but wonder if the Establishment gets their way and we end up with Romney, and he gets clobbered by Obama in November, what will they say then? Will they admit they were wrong? Or will they just try to blame the Tea Party?”

They blamed Conservatives when McCain lost ...don't you remember??? ...and most of us (myself included) held our noses and dutifully voted for him ...mostly because of Gov Palin in my case. They will blame us again when Romney loses.

I don’t think Rush gives a crap about Clear Channel. They need HIM a lot more than vice versa.

He’s just rambling because all this Newt stuff caught him by surprise and his ego was bruised.

Rush is going to look really stupid when everyone finds out that Ann and Drudge along with Brit Hume are feeding all the negatives from drudges website without any balance.

People are royally pissed because they have been sending him stuff all day which he refuses to post.

Just out of curiosity, would you rather hear what is going to come out on Newt now or later? Now, if you think it bad enough, there is still an alternative (Santorum). If it comes out later, as it would, we could already be at the Newt or Obama stage. I like to make a considered choice. Yes, it might change some minds about Newt, but mostly you will have people during the election saying, “That’s old stuff; I heard it before.”

—Im so freakin confused, what is the goal here with Rush.—

My theory is that he’s using the “Can you believe they’re calling Newt a wife beater!” line to wash his hands of calling Newt a wife better. It gives him cover, and later, plausible denial.

It’s cowardly and disgusting. Worse, he knows Newt is better than Mitt. Some outside force is acting on him.

The alternative is that he’s become unglued, like Ann.

Piffle, IMPR. Pure piffle. Opinions are whining now? Expressing dislike for a topic being covered or not covered is trolling. Oh, well. You should get the ‘rules of the Rush thread’ all written up and post them at the top. Not sure you’re qualified to make those rules, but you try. You try.

And another thing . . .

If the “Establishment” and the Conservative punditry, et al, are going to pick our candidates, why bother having debates and primaries in the first place?

Why not just have them get into their smoke-filled rooms and crown their “choice” and be done with it already??
