Freepers, Newt Supporters: 46 States to go (Mitt's Gotta Face the South Again Soon)
Freeper TitansAFC | 1-31-2012 | TitansAFC

Four down, forty-six to go!

First, I would like to Congratulate Mitt Romney! No, really! Between he and his Super PAC, Team Romney dumped over 25 million dollars into Florida since the beginning of the campaign which, along with the diabolical coordination with formerly credible GOP media personalities in a massive Establishment smear campaign, resulted in Mitt Romney getting less than 200,000 votes more than he got four years ago!

The result was a plurality win in a four-person primary where only two candidates even attempted to win the state. At least as impressive a performance as winning a basketball game against a team that only fielded four players!

But he'd better get busy again! At his current return of about one delegate per $500,000 in combined spending, he's going to need nearly $600,000,000 to buy the necessary support to be the GOP nominee in August!

On a bright note, my Freeper Friends, it gets better from here. You see, Mitt was expected to take places like NH and FL, places where it is hard to fight an Establishment favorite. But his troubles are only beginning: as seen in the polls posted in the last few days, he trails miserably in the South - states with disproportionately large numbers of delegates with many winner-takes-all Primaries. He is also second or third in most polls of key midwestern states, like Missouri, Ohio, and Minnesota. To top that off, he is at BEST in a statistical tie with Newt in national polls, despite his massive money advantage!

Georgia alone has nearly 80 delegates, a lot more than Florida, and Newt will clean house there. Don't even get me started on the sweetest plum, Texas, where Newt is a favorite and our friend Captain Perry is circling the wagons for Gingrich! Texas has 155 delegates, NC 55 delegates, Ohio 66 delegates, Alaska 50 delegates, and they are all Newt country right now!!

http://www.2012presidentialelectionnews.com/2012-republican-primary-schedule/

As you see above, the longer the campaign, the more it favors Newt Gingrich! Mitt may win some states here early, but he is breaking the bank to do so. And if he's struggling this hard to win states he should win easily, image what it's going to be like for him when he faces more South Carolina type places in the future!

To arms! To arms! Keep up the good fight, keep fighting! We WILL win this thing in the end because the state delegate count favors us GREATLY as the campaign goes on! Mitt can't win in the South, he struggles mightily in the midwest, and he won't win in the corn belt.

The fight has only just begun! Mitt has broken the bank, and has only a small lead to show for it in delegates. We are in good position, and we will prevail in August and then November!!!!!!!

ABC News has a story that Romney gets Secret Service??? Is that correct or is the fix in?

How does Newt get to be the conservative after his anti-capitalist, politics of envy attacks on Romney? I was ready to support Newt. At this point I think he is a loony toon and I’m supporting Romney so at least we have a chance to win.

I guess I seriously have to question my fellow tea partiers. Are we just a bunch of prejudiced, anti-morman, populist bigots?

I've been noticing the LDS coming out with more and more "I'm just like you, I'm mormon" commercials.

The LDS is doing its part to help Mitt. I just wish evangelicals would come out against his faith.

People as you give up so easy-give away give away-You will get Obama. Why? Because many people will not sell their principles for Romneycare.

He backed away from that quickly. I think he was getting desperate for something new to throw at Romney; a mistake, but it had become a free-for-all. Not excusing it but it doesn't make him a liberal.

I heard him defend it on Kudlow to the point of embarrassment. More than a mistake. Major revelation of something really ugly to me.

I just watched our local news (Columbus, OH) and they showed the latest PPP poll. It seems that both Newt and Santorum are beating Mitt in the polls here in OH. I don’t think Romney will take our state. Yay!

Don’t think Romney is a shoe-in.

He can’t get half the delegates.

He can’t get half the delegates.

He can’t get half the delegates.

....46 states to go !

The thing is most states use proportional method in allocating their delegates
. So, it depends also how big the win/lose each in their ‘natural region. Can Romney attract 20-30% in the Southern states? Can Newt get 20-30% in non Southern states?

Romney:

roughly spent $25 million
roughly 750,000 votes
roughly $33 per vote

Gingrich:

roughly spent $5 million
roughly 500,000 votes
roughly $10 per vote

The big problem with the 25 million dollars is that Mitt’s rich Communications pals got most of it.

Very little of it will bleed down to those who need it.

It has nothing to do with his religion. Newt has made some mistakes by putting his foot in his mouth, but, that’s nothing compared to Romneycare and Obamacare coming our way. Care to defend it?

Thank you, T, for the positivity.

Last night Hannity was telling Newt how good this process is because it makes the candidates stronger.

Newt just gave him that fatherly smile with a twinkle in his eye, you know the one. I wanted to strangle Hannity - it was as if he’d said, ‘Child abuse isn’t so bad, it puts starch in your collar!’ I’d like to see how Hannity would hold up.

Newt was so cordial, as if he knew there was no way Hannity or anyone could possibly know what it really takes.

I’m glad Newt has the humility to say, don’t vote FOR me, vote WITH me, because I can’t do it by myself.

He’s not feeling sorry for himself - he knows the game.

A friend once told me, even a little Christmas tree light has all the power of the Hoover Dam behind it.
I’m praying to know that God is our Hoover Dam, empowering Newt and all of us, giving us strength to conquer this mountain.

Most people are ignorant about the Mormon faith. Google is their friend, if they’d just do their homework. How people can believe that “other gospel” is beyond my comprehension.

I would suggest that you not defy Jim Rob’s explicit orders not to pimp for Mitt Romney at FR.

It is comments like “anti-Mormon bigots” that reinforce how right we are when we say that a Romney presidency will be 95% the same as an Obama Presidency. Just switch “You hate him because he’s black” to “you hate him because he’s Mormon.”

The dirty little secret is: There are gobs more people supporting Mitt Romney JUST BECAUSE he’s Mormon than there are people opposing him because of his religion.

And it was Mitt Romney who started the “anti-Capitalist attacks,” not Newt. Newt just didn’t have the GOP media in his pocket to spread the meme.

Romney said he’ll repeal Obama care nothing to defend. I saw newt repeat his leftist anti-capitalist drivel with my own ears again and again. No way to wiggle out. Has he apologized and retracted?
