Donald Trump endorsed Mitt Romney for president Thursday, saying he's impressed by the Republican candidate's debate prowess and believes he could easily beat President Obama in November.
"Mitt is tough. He's smart. He's sharp. He's not going to allow bad things to continue to happen to this country that we all love," Trump said in Las Vegas, telling the candidate to "go out and get 'em."
The real estate mogul, speaking briefly with reporters before the announcement, said that even though he "never knew" Romney before the race began, he's come to know him in recent months.
"His general attitude and the last two debates were very impressive," Trump said.
He also cited Romney's position on China, calling the former Massachusetts governor

Romney’s stench is all over this. His camp also claimed that Jeb Bush, who was in China at the time, was going to endorse Romney right before the Florida primary. Jeb had to release a statement that he wasn’t endorsing anyone at the time.
Yep, I wouldn’t doubt that Romney’s fingerprints are on this one. This guy is despicable. And I don’t believe that Newt is pissed because he hadn’t heard from Trump about it. Fox News is so ridiculous!
Frankly, I'd fire the Donald for not stopping it.

He decided he wanted the respect of the masses rather than the respect of the Tea Party/Social Conservatives?
He took quite a beating for his Birth certificate of Obama thing, siding with the MSM now may help him be restored in the eyes of homofags etc in the media?
Never cared for the guy, he likes the sound of his own voice etc.
If he had endorsed Newt I would have cut him some slack, but never cared for him.
He once said that he was disappointed Kerry lost to Bush, he also says Hillary is ready to be President.

No surprize...he waited until he thought he knew who would win. For the most part Trump is a big phoney!!!
I get the celebrity rich guy thing, and that’s all I consider him to be. I don’t know why his political endoresement carries any more weight than any other celebrity’s would. I’m assuming there’s stuff he’s involved in that goes on behind the scenes, because a number of the candidates paid him a visit. Publicly, he has his opinions and that’s fine. But that aside, I’ve always just considered him an egotist and a blowhard and, politically, a potential demagogue.
I know there’s been a desire among a lot of conservatives for a person with business experience. There’s no doubt he has that. But as someone on the radio here pointed out, Trump has managed to accomplish something that is nearly impossible — he bankrupted two casinos.
