Iran warns world of coming great event.

Iran warns world of coming great event Says 'evil hegemony' soon will be defeated by power of Allah

(snip)

Khamenei then claimed the current century as the century of Islam and promised that human history is on the verge of a great event and that soon the world will realize the power of Allah.

(snip)

Mahdi will reappear at the time of Armageddon. Selected forces within the Revolutionary Guards and Basij reportedly have been trained under a task force called “Soldiers of Imam Mahdi” and they will bear the responsibility of security and protecting the regime against uprisings. Many in the Guards and Basij have been told that the 12th Imam is on earth, facilitated the victory of Hezbollah over Israel in the 2006 war and soon will announce publicly his presence after the needed environment is created.

(snip)

At the same time, his directive to the Guards ordered a speedy completion of the Iranian nuclear bomb program in which Guards’ missiles can be armed with nuclear warheads.

(snip)

Any Iranian military or commercial vessel easily could get right outside the U.S. coastline and in less than 60 seconds fire a ballistic missile armed with a nuclear payload and detonate it over U.S. skies in an electromagnetic attack that would plunge America back into the 18th century.

(snip)

Studies show within just one year after such an attack, two-thirds of Americans would cease to exist and the rest would live under dire conditions.

(snip)

They truly believe the end of time is here. As revealed last year, the Iranian secret documentary “The Coming is Upon Us” clearly indicates that the radicals ruling Iran believe the destruction of Israel will trigger the coming of last Islamic Messiah.

I believe we are dealing with a seriously low self esteem here. I simply asked a question and the guy jumped down my throat. Probably unwise to continue any conversation with assumptions being made like that.

. . and . . us stupid “Infidels” are just gonna sit down on our keisters and just starve to death and mold to death from dysentery and disease like we did during Y2K? Surely there’s a little Yankee Ingenuity left in a few of us anyway; and I guess some of the kids would grow up real quick because they’d have to.

"They recorded all kinds of nuclear and non-nuclear measurements.

Well we are starting to get technical here but I'll play.

On the surface of the Earth the EMP effects are limited to a few radius of the blast for several reason. First there is lots of atmosphere at the surface so free high energy photons (gamma rays) and the high energy electrons they generate are quickly absorbed by collisions with atmospheric molecules. Second surface blasts are not focused and directed along the Earths magnetic field lines. Eargo because of 1 and 2 and the line of sight thing the EMP affects are limited with surface blasts.

I went to your FR Homepage... But since I am basically ignorant regarding Muslim End-Time belief, I came away with more questions. And NO I have no interest in leaving Christianity.

Do Muslims believe Mahdi is supernatural? And do they believe they in the flesh must do specific works to bring down their Mahdi? I ask because of all the turmoil in the ‘middle east’, and so many struggles/wars bloodshed within the Muslim religion. And maybe I am not even asking the correct questions. But how will Muslims know their Mahdi has appeared?

You're just like the "climate change" freaks; you think that fear-mongering and exaggeration make you so much more intelligent and caring than anyone else.

Nothing would happen to the electrical infrastructure outside of fifty miles of the blast radius. It might take a couple of days for the grid to be back to normal, but sh*t happens all the time and the world does not end.

Thanks for your kind reply.

Given my level of ignorance, I’m not in a position to point fingers about it. LOL.

isn’t everything connected to long wires?

God isn't to blame for any of that....man doesn't listen to God when such things happen...they're listening to the other side. God raises up men and nations as he did, and He knows how long before they act... and what stopped Hitler....same with the rest....and if they're a nation who turns their back on God He still blesses but HE allows men choices....who you gonna serve or not....which side you'll take or not. etc. etc. et.c>

If we should experience an EMP it would put down our large transformers. It takes about 2 years to replace them and they are not made in the USA. So at least half the country is going to be without adequate power for 2-4 years.

After a week or two the generators for hospitals and other care facilities will run out of fuel. People who are dependent on any type of electrical machine to live will die. There will not be refrigeration so the insulin will go bad and the folks with serious diabetes will die. The pharmacies will quickly run out of medications so in a few weeks all folks who depend on meds to keep them alive will start to die off. Without electricity doctors will not be able to perform surgeries. If you have a serious injury or a heart attack, stroke etc. you will probably not make it. Antibiotics will become scarce very quickly and people who develop the normal everyday upper respiratory infection will not be able to get a prescription so if it goes into pnuemonia they will die.

Since there will be no electricity the gas pumps won’t, work the grocery stores will be cleaned out the tap water will go off in your house and the toilet won’t flush anymore. The garbage guys won’t show up on Monday to take the trash. After 2-3 weeks of trash and garbage pile up in the streets and no sanitation or clean water dysentary and typhoid will show up. The death toll in the cities will be insane just from that. In a month people will be starving to death as most folks especially in the city only keep a few days of food on hand and probably very little bottled water.

Since about 90% of the people now live in the city the die off rate will be horrendous. The few who live or have managed to acquire a retreat in the rural areas and have stocked up on food and the means to protect it will be the ones that survive the first die off. After that it will just be trying to make it through until the infrastructure can be repaired and social order restored.

So what did happen September 1st, 1859, August 4th, 1972, or March 13, 1989?

And why were several of the US nuclear tests to determine how to best achieve EMP? And remember, those were tube days, not even transistors, and certainly not microcircuits.

I'm not smarter than everyone else, and honestly, I could give a rat's pointy little tail, because I can live comfortably in a mid 1800s environment (did it in the mountains for 2 years).

Oh, and the Starfish Prime nuclear test in 1962 knocked out lights and destroyed comms equipment in Hawaii, almost 900 miles away. So much for your 50 miles theory.

And we are much more vulnerable now than we were 50 years ago.

You mean there are no breakers? You mean EMP could generate that much power? Really? Don’t think so.

Even if EMP did destroy some transformers we DO manufacture large transformers in the US and we DO have them in supply. They go out often enough as to need replacing.

This “no transformers for years” BS is just that, Internet “survivalist” BS. Pure ignorance of the facts. One idiot makes aclaim andthe rest repeat the lie. Just like global warming.

Since above ground nuclear tests were done for years, how come they didn’t “put down” the generators local to those tests?

“, and the Starfish Prime nuclear test in 1962 knocked out lights and destroyed comms equipment in Hawaii, almost 900 miles away. “

How many comms and how many lights? All of them? A majority of them? How about maybe, maybe a few. The ONLY reason people suspect that bomb was the cause was because it happened during that time. Yet, no one even really noticed. Certainly “70%-90%” didn’t die. In fact, no one died. Not one.

The solar EMP event in 1989 knocked out power across Quebec and melted transformers in New Jersey. The breakers are mechanical and can't trip in time to avoid damage.

And that wasn't an engineered attack.

We need protection from both natural and man-made EMP.

ATT did some work on their trans-oceanic lines after 1972. But the tech was much more robust, back then. Tech is smarter now, but much more fragile.

So, a high altitude EMP would also attenuated by the atmosphere once it starts to reach lower altitudes. Oh, wait, that doesn’t allow the theory we’re all going to die from EMP. Hmmm, we’ll need a better explanation.

It was 900 miles away. And we weren't trying. We tried, in later tests. And we've and everyone else has had 50 years to improve the technology.
