Following are excerpts from an interview with Lebanese columnist Jihad Al-Khazen, which aired on CBC TV on January 1, 2012:
Jihad Al-Khazen: In Jerusalem, there are no archeological remains of the Jews or any of their prophets. They have no history. People forget that during Yitzhak Rabin's first term in government, in the early 1980's [sic]… I was in America at the time, studying history at Georgetown University. Rabin excavated under the Haram Al-Sharif, and uncovered the remains of an Umayyad palace. There are no [Jewish] archeological remains. There is no Solomon's Temple or any other temple.
They did not enter our countries, nor did they leave them. They were never in Egypt or in the Sinai. Ask Dr. Zahi Hawwas if he has found any Jewish archeological remains in Egypt or in the Sinai. Modern historians, including some Jews, call these "Torah fairy tales."
The Islamic religion was delivered in the light of history. Divine inspiration would come to the Prophet Muhammad, and he would put it on record that same day. The Christian religion was recorded by Jesus' disciples 40 or 50 years later. They were all still alive. The Jewish religion was recorded after 1,000 years. It's like you and me discussing family tales about the Crusades. The Crusades took place 800 years ago, not 1,000 years.
This religion is a fairy tale. We must sever Islam's times with [the Jews]. Their Prophets are not the prophets of the Muslims. Islamic scholars must have the courage to show that these people are frauds. That religion cannot possibly be true.

This from the religion that had to borrow all it’s pre-Mohammed prophets from the Torah and the New Testament?
I dont think this guy realises that if he discounts judaism then he is discounting his own religion, islam. Moses is the most quoted prophet in the quran. So, if he is saying the jewish religion is a fairy tale then it follows that he is implying the muslim religion is a fairy tale aswell, thereby destroying his point that he attempted to make that islam is more “pure”.
I think he is talking about his own religion. Wasn’t his prophet an illiterate pedophile? Wasn’t his religion written down many years after the crazy child rapist died? He has a backwards culture that went into reverse when the cult became dominate in the region.
Actually, it was written while he was alive throughout his life and muslims believe that it was the word of god sent to him by archangel Gabriel. Actually the time after his death and for 500 years afterwards is referred to as the golden age, which technically had them surpassing the europeans in fields on science and technology. The decline occurred after the Mongolian invasion in the 1200s, which destroyed everything. The mongols would eventually assimilate and become the many muslim turkic people in the middle east and also gave rise to the ottoman empire.
Yep. Pretty much all that remains is a 2/3rds contribution of the most widely read, popular book in all of human history.
And if you consider the A.D. contributions to said book, the total Hebrew/Jewish contribution approaches 100%.

Other posters aside, Jihad is a Christian.
He doesn’t talk about it much, but good old Jihad is generally thought to be a Christian Arab.

No, I don't know where you got that idea. He attempted to reach Cuba or the US, or any place that would take them. Writing to officials and relatives to attempt to flee the continent. There's documentary evidence establishing that, but this hemispherse wasn't anxious to allow Jewish immigration. National security and all.
