House Speaker John Boehner distanced himself on Friday from Rush Limbaugh, calling the conservative radio host's words toward a women's rights advocate "inappropriate."

Amid a growing media firestorm over comments Wednesday by Limbaugh toward Sandra Fluke, a Georgetown Law student who testified before a Democratic panel on the use of contraception, Washington's top Republicans said through a spokesman that Limbaugh was wrong.

"The speaker obviously believes the use of those words was inappropriate, as is trying to raise money off the situation," Boehner spokesman Michael Steel said in a statement.

Yes, it is about liberty and it is an important issue. But it is, with the current overemphasis, still a distraction.

It is THE MOST IMPORTANT issue to me.

It is about LIFE, LIBERTY and the PURSUIT OF HAPPINESS.

It is about PRESERVING THE BLESSINGS OF LIBERY TO OURSELVES AND OUR POSTEROTY.

It is about limiting the unbridled power of the Federal Government.

It is about the long train of unconstitutional acts by this president and congress in forcing the Health Care issue down the throats of Americans and a wholesale violation of all the principles of liberty and religious freedom.

Tell, me, if this is not that important of an issue to you, then what the hell is? The economy?

Miss Fluke COULD be an attractive woman. But there is nothing about her appearance before Congress that indicates in any way that she is interested in luring men.

Of course it’s an important issue. It’s just not the only issue. And remember, Obama believes it is to his advantage to keep this issue dominating the news cycle. I think he is right.

Rush properly gave this story serious attention. But it is past time to move on. Time to get back to the winning issues from 2010.

Rush likes to say words mean things. Unfortunately that one word slut is going to cost the GOP an untold number of votes in November. He is hurting the party. Flame away...

What I'm not getting is why is it when a radio talk show host says something controversial, the press and the Dems(same thing) demand the GOP condemn them as if they control the content on these shows yet we never here the Dems being asked if they support the violent actions of OWS which they cheered on and gave support to?

Think it is an ideological 'mindset'; a totalitarian predisposition that has them not only wanting to control 'all'; but so imagining they do. Hence their response to all things; that clearly are far beyond their purview; their business; and our Constitution.

It is also a mind-game; a TACTIC for change as they tear down; repetitiously so; and rebuild in their own image; a refashioned world. And no detail too small, to ignore.
