First, I'm a Rush supporter from waaayyyy, back, and I still am, and I somehow suspect (but do not know) that Carlsen still is, as well.
Rush erred, there is no other explanation; and, we conservatives know that we are responsible for our actions.
Rush is a tough guy, he'll get through this (especially now that he's not defending the remark.)
I predict that many, if not all of Rush's major advertisers will return to the fold, once the dust settles.

I agree, this can only help Rush’s credibility. If it had been me I might have been even more to the point and said sorry for calling Fluke personally a “slut” (as there is no data to support a conclusion that her own personal love life was conducted like an alley cat) — but made it plain that at the same time I still stood on my belief that Fluke is a sympathizer to sluts and a cheerleader for taxpayer funding of sluts.
Well, those people who supported the pre-apology comments were as far out on a limb as Rush. Shame on them for idolizing Rush.
