More Terrible Poll News for White House

BEGIN TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: We've got this Hill poll: "Half of likely voters expect the Supreme Court to strike down [Obamacare], and strong majorities see other major policies coming from the White House making life more difficult for themselves and the country..." So the polling data continues to be bad, strikingly so, and all of these polls are coming from State-Run Media organizations.

These are from organizations that are entirely invested in Obama's reelection. They are entirely invested in the notion of an all powerful, growing, command-and-control, socialistic central government. They are all in favor of that. And I think they're not shying away from publishing the results of their polls because they, too, are scared and they're trying to light a file under Obama. "Hey, pal, it isn't working. You're going to have to find another way." And don't forget Stanley Greenberg, some weeks ago now (Dem pollster extraordinaire), told Obama (paraphrased): "If you think you can gain traction by telling people that this economy is roaring back by virtue of whatever you want to say the unemployment numbers are, don't. Because it isn't believable.

"The American people are not living in an economy that's roaring back, and if you tell 'em that it is, it isn't gonna work." So, I know, it's only March, it's March 19th and it's a early. But contrary to what people would love to have you believe, this is not the way any of them in the regime had this planned. "Half of likely voters expect the Supreme Court to strike down President Obama’s signature healthcare law..." It's more than half who want it struck down. This is just 50% who expect it to be struck down. More than that want it to be struck down. "[S]trong majorities see other major policies coming from the White House making life more difficult for themselves and the country, according to this week’s The Hill Poll.

"The poll indicated that 49% of likely voters said they expect a court ruling that is unfavorable to the Affordable Care Act, while just 29% think it will be upheld... On economic issues, 62% of voters say Obama’s policies will increase the debt..." Sixty-two percent in TheHill.com poll! It's gotta be even worse than this. Twenty-five percent think Obama's policies will cut the debt, "and by a 48%-to-38% margin, voters believe those policies will increase [unemployment] rather than put people back to work." Forty-eight to 38% people believe Obama's policies will add to unemployment. And they're right.

"On energy, 58% say Obama’s policies will result in gasoline prices increasing, while just 20% expect them to cut prices -- and by a 46%-to-36% margin, voters believe they will cause the United States to become even more dependent on foreign oil." That's because they understand about the Keystone pipeline. This is not a poll at a right-wing website. This is TheHill.com: "Voters' wide-ranging pessimism comes as gasoline prices have risen sharply, which often dampens attitudes among U.S. voters toward those in power..." So, yeah, if we could just get the gasoline price down, The Hill hopes that all this stuff will go away.

BREAK TRANSCRIPT

RUSH: There's another one. This is ABC News, another random act of journalism: "Two-thirds of Americans say the U.S. Supreme Court should throw out either the individual mandate in the federal health care law or the law in its entirety, signaling the depth of public disagreement with that element of the Affordable Care Act. This ABC News/Washington Post poll finds that Americans oppose the law overall by 52-41%. And 67% believe the high court should either ditch the law or at least the portion that requires nearly all Americans to have coverage."

The Supreme Court begins oral arguments begin a week from today. Folks, this is profound. Can I tell you how profound this is, the fact that 67% of the American people in an ABC News poll believe that the Supreme Court should get rid of the individual mandate? Sitting here, even knowing the power of this program -- fully aware of the power of the alternative media -- I have to tell you I am still shocked that 67% of the American people even know what the mandate is. And I don't mean that as an insult. I mean, this is minutia. Budgets, mandates, commerce clause? But happily, 67% of the people do get it, and I think I know why. It's because this is a conservative country. This is not a liberal country.

This is a country where the liberalism-socialism groups are a minority. But they have the media and they are able to make everybody believe, day in and day out, that they are the majority; and that the conservatives are the fringe, kook, extreme, tiny little minority that are gumming up the works. It's just the exact opposite. Sixty-seven percent of the American people oppose the mandate in Obamacare because they understand that it's the end of their freedom, or at least a remarkable transformation away from individual liberty. When the federal government can mandate that you buy something -- and if you don't, either fine you or put you in jail -- that's pretty simple, actually, to understand.

The fascinating thing is that the State-Controlled Media, the mainstream media has not made a big deal out of this. And yet the American people are aware of it. Folks, I'm telling you: There are countless reasons today to feel optimistic, regardless what's going on in the Republican primary. We're gonna end up having a nominee, and we're all gonna end up supporting a nominee -- whoever it is. Because, look at these polls! Sixty-seven percent! There's not one Republican candidate running who supports this mandate or Obamacare. They're all running on the promise to repeal it, and that's resonating. That's what the American people want.

Zero’s 41% approval would be about 20% if not for MSM cover.

Theoretically, the USSC cannot perform a "line-item Veto", ruling that the Law can stand, minus the Un-Constitutional "individual mandate".

If part of the Law is found to be Un-Constitutional, the WHOLE thing has to be un-wound.

Now, you know that with the RINO's we have, they will work around the Finding, to keep Obamacare in place, as BILLIONS have been spent in staffing-up and creation of jobs for friends, etc., plus buying votes of the slugs who want others to pay their way (including Flukeing).

OTOH; I expect it to be Upheld, as I have no faith in this Government to do what the Founders intended anymore, in ALL Branches, and at ALL levels.

Obama doesn’t care. And I don’t think he really wants a second term. He’s a looking glass man...all he sees is himself...I don’t think he even gives a damn about Michelle.

Especially if Myth's the nominee.

True and the absence of any of the usual subconscious fidgets when lying is what should concern us most - it means that he lacks remorse and is a sociopath at best to say nothing of the programming he has willingly embraced.

His most annoying trait - and there are many - is his tendency to ‘street up’ his speech patterns when in full patronize-the-audience mode. Have you noticed the delighted surprise in his voice when one of his wiseass lines actually gets a chuckle? He immediately goes off script and we are left to watch the nation’s chief executive shuck and jive about drilling for oil on the National Mall or in your front yard.

That’s all well and good, but remember, a lot of those people were stupid enough to vote for this monster. They can be persuaded again but time is beginning to run out. If things stay the same or get worse I think that early July is the drop dead date for those with weak minds to make up their minds.

Well, sure, Romney says he’ll repeal it, but his plan is to implement exactly the same thing at the state level.

I think there is a permanent brain dead population of 40 percent, when you consider the growing black and illegal population, and the hard core Marxist/Communist/OWS crowd.
We are lucky if it is only 40 percent, but it will get only worse.
We no longer have the iron curtain to point out the horrors
of Marxist/Leninist government.
Many voting age youth have no clue about it.

Marxist ideologues now control the media and education.
How will that change?

This is filling conservatives with false hope and I am a little surprised that Rush isn’t thinking of polls versus other factors.

First polls can be skewed easily by which questions are asked and how they are worded. If the question of whether someone approved the job that Obomba was doing was worded in the context of a s*ckass economy, then you’re going to get 50+% saying they don’t approve of him.

If you ask who would you rather vote for Rinomney or Obamala, then Obullsh*t is going to do better.

So we got false hope here being amplified by El Rushbo and this is not good.

Here’s the reality:
1. Romney runs against Obama and Obama wins.
2. Obamacare is upheld as a tax with the individual mandate struck down leaving the tax in place (and don’t say “but but ...severability yada yada yada, because they will say severability was implied just like the appeals court did; they will let the decision by the Court of Appeals on severability stand”)

3. The SCOTUS is not going to render a decision on Obamacare based on a poll of likely voters. They will be happy to throw voters a bone by striking down the individual mandate but they will uphold the taxing authority of Obamacare.

Why will Obamacare be upheld? Because if your attention has been diverted away to the arguments of Commerce Clause, then you haven’t seen the bigger picture. There is a reason that Obamala wanted to go SCOTUS this year and not later. There is a reason that Obamo and his universal healthcare gang is settling for a field goal rather than a touchdown.

It’s called the Obamacare revenue tax provisions seen in Sections 9005 and 9015 and others of the Act. These taxes are fully authorized under the 16th Amendment. A SCOTUS full of Clarence Thomas’ would not strike out these tax provisions.

Severability? Yes, it’s implied as written by the Court of Appeals. And that is not unusual. Those spouting lack of severability are like El Rushala spreading false hope. Severability is going to ruled as implicit (Read the Appeal decision).

Over time the lovely Obamacare taxes will be levied on everyone; with credits to some, entitlements to others, penalties and prison to protestors and exempted cronies grandfathered in. The dems since Woodrow Wilson and perfected by FDR are expert at taking little innocuous taxes and growing them into metastatic cancers. They know how to do it, it’s a game to them and they are good at it.

Today’s dems know that if they can keep the Obamacare tax authority, they will get the rest later. It’s a fact that taxes can destroy the private healthcare system of the USA and don’t think the dems won’t do it, they most certainly will.

Today’s dems, and Biden repeated it in the press, know that Obamacare used the FDR playbook on Social Security. If the Obamacare tax provisions are stricken by SCOTUS, then Obamacare fails BUT SO DOES SOCIAL SECURITY! And the dems know this and Biden said exactly this in the press in early 2011.

And we know that Social Security is going to be left standing no matter what. So Obamacare slithers in under the Social Security precedent which also survived as a tax and not as it was originally presented as a compulsory government social insurance ‘annuity’.

This is all about word games and the 16th Amendment travesty.

An infuriating and bedeviling point in this socialist march on our freedom is that the Social Insurance movement of FDR’s time had included a Social Health Insurance plank in their platform but later took it out leaving it for ‘later’. Well, ‘later’ has arrived.

I am thinking to write an FR Post for this year Easter Sunday that will lay out a battle plan for killing Obamacare.

There is hope but it is going to take fired up evangelical like efforts to first get educated and then get movin across America. There is a tax code we can use that does not depend on the 16th Amendment, does not require it to exist, and it retains Social Security and Medicare because like it or not, people paid into SS/MC and they deserve to get it as promised. Whether we allow younger generations to opt out of SS/MC is another debate.

This is why there is going to be no election. The more people learn about his power hungry ways the more he is going to be looked at like he is a commie. Once the polls sink there will be no Election. I hope I am wrong, but with the NDAA and the NDER i dont put anything past these fascist.

You nailed it.....Obama could conceivably slip to 37 or 38%,
but no lower, for the reasons you enunciated.

It's no wonder...some think FR is a racist place...when "you" happen to say things like the above...

Consider this. More white mongrel dumbass morons voted for Odumbass....than anyone of color. That said...many black, brown, white and red...hard core Marxist, Commie, and OWS dumbass's voted too...for Odumbass.

Grab a clue....the "black and brown" folks in this country didn't get Odumbass elected...

Even by oversampling demoncrats and registered votes (rather than likely voters), the pollsters are having a tough time putting a smiley face on it for Barry.

And the news about the disppointing fundraising for JugEars has to have them losing sleep, too.

There are cracks forming in the dam of invincibility Axelhead has been trying to portray about the Punk’s reelection and it could turn into a flood.
