...Six months after the military dropped the controversial “don’t ask, don’t tell” law barring gays from serving openly, Pentagon officials and gay rights advocates say the policy change has largely been a non-issue, with few complaints and no major headaches resulting from the new rules...

There was one little problem reported in an Alaskan newspaper. It seems like some homos started spreading AIDS up that way and they were traced to one of the military bases.

Interesting anecdote, but the men with whom I served never so much as joked about that sort of thing. Maybe it’s a different time given we are in an actual shooting war. Walking around with a loaded weapon tends to cut down on the finger quotation marks and the winks and nods.

They made a big deal about the butt boys online magazine “Outserve”. It has been out since December and there is hardly any activity on the site.

I go there from time to time to see what they are saying. They made it out like half the force was homos.

I’m guessing your understanding of the U.S. military stems from an overconsumption of hollywood movies.

Food for thought One of the things that is considered when they will issue you a security clearance is sexual activity. It’s one of the top five.

Gotta run.

They were shocked to find lesbians in the Army.

Gotta wonder how folks with a past ever obtain a TS. But then I think of the CinC...

a general disgust of homos.

That's the way it was in WW-II ... regarding blacks.

After the war, President Truman integrated the military, and that's worked out well.

Say what you want, but the younger generation has been indoctrinated by these radical liberal commie activists who have removed any sense of right and wrong. They have polluted our schools, our churches, and our televisions. These are the kids going into our country’s service. This ain’t your daddy’s United States military. NO RESPECT FOR TRADITION

That’s comparing apples and oranges. Skin color is a state of being. Homosexuality is both a state of being and a state of doing. DADT allowed their state of being if kept to themselves on state of doing. Now they’ve been given a pass on state of doing. That does not equate to race and the argument is specious.

You’ve missed what’s coming next. Transgendered servicemembers. Also personnel tracking and affirmative action. And anybody who complains in any way will be smacked down by the PC police.

<<<< but haven’t faced any lawsuits or mass resignations predicted by some opponents.>>>>>>>

Men who don’t like flagrant homosexuals in their foxhole or next bunk will quietly choose to not re-enlist, or never join in the first place. The feminization and homosexualization of the military will destroy our warrior spirit.

I predict CWII. I also predict the New Confederate Army will not tolerate fagots.

You got it.

Same way with easing our divorce laws. At first, there were a few more divorces, then a lot more, and then suddenly, it’s too late. Fifty percent divorce rate. It’s impossible to go back.

Wait until senior officers and NCO are fudge packers. They play favorites and will be "doing" the enlisted. It is going to be a disaster. The brown politics will be too much for the decent NCO's and JO's.

So eventually you will have a completely fagaotized senior staff with normal JO's who stay 4 years and quit.

That’s interesting. After your response, I took a look at the site (just for jollies). Looks like they are including “Transgender” too. Didn’t know that was green lighted too. Of course, some of the butch women I’ve run into could easily double as men.

I’m just glad that I’m RETIRED Air Force and don’t have to deal with this crap.

They have not included transconfused yet. The Canadian military has some group that is pushing that though.

Transgendered are still prohibited from serving. But they are pushing to change this policy, too:

Home from the war, a woman
Sam Taylor kept her transgendered identity a secret while serving in Iraq.

We are already getting a dose of what happens to any enlisted service member who dares question this Impostor-In-Chief.

Marine still outspoken despite facing dismissal

Can you imagine how viciously the Gaystapo would yank on Obama's chain if any military chief dared go against the "correct" political dialog?
