Speculation on my part, but if she heard how the fight started, she may know that Martin was 100% the aggressor, and she did not want to give that up. After being coached by a lawyer, and after the police dispatch recording came out, she was able to come up with a plausible story that didn't directly contradict the recording of Zimmerman.

I guess I should have left out the first paragraph and excerpted the statistics.

You know, the statistics are well-known to those of us who have gotten training to carry firearms. Anybody who digs into the crime in their own state will find that a majority of violent crimes are committed by blacks, usually against other blacks.

That isn't the point. The point is, this new meme of "victims of black crime shouldn't shoot back no matter what."

Obama thinks that will help him get re-elected. But the real effect will be to start a civil war, if it keeps up.

There are reports that the slide didn't cycle, so that what was left in the pipe was an empty casing. The magazine was full.

If Martin had his hands on the slide and frame, and pulled the pistol toward himself, he may be the one who "pulled the trigger."

I would think the medics would have an indication as to what what formed it. Such as a very pronounced 'goose egg' being raised as opposed to a verticle type gash line as would happen if falling backward against a patio 4X4 post. The body (Which Z shot and was on top of him) was found nearer the patio than the sidewalk.

Good question. I really don't have an opinion on that point. I suspect the Martin family lawyer of conjuring up an impression; maybe from the girl friends recounting of her phone call. I think I'll go look for his presser where he played the recording or her describing what she heard.

I'm curious. 'skittles' is also a slang term for the drug ecstacy. I have read of the tea reference dealing with laced marijuana.

If so, the deceased may have stashed the stuff (if there was any) and then confronted Zimmerman, expecting to recover it later.

Of course, if actual Skittles and a container of tea were recovered from the scene, that theory is out the window.

While the Zimmerman/Martin ‘white’ on black killing is covered 24/7 on the MSM with an outpouring of rage and charges of a racial hate crime, where is the concern- where is the rage about the home invasion, torture, beating, rape and murder of the elderly white couple by a gang of feral blacks in Oklahoma just a few weeks ago?

The 90 year old war veteran husband was beaten and his jaw broken. He was shot in the face numerous times with a BB gun and sent to the hospital in critical condition.

The 85 year old partially blind wife was RAPED and then BEATEN TO DEATH.

Can you just imagine the pain, the humiliation, the horror that dear old lady experienced being gang raped by that pack of feral animals?

(the autopsy states she was raped. Don’t think all of these animals didn’t all participate)

And can you imagine the pain, the horror of that dear old husband having to witness this?

There’s a lot more involved here than a home invasion and robbery.

If that's all it would take I would have kept the undertakers quite busy in my life. And my weight reached only 140-lb max. But then again, I never had much of a 'beauty face complex' or sh** my pants in a fistfight over someone twice my size. The 9 in the glovebox was for real criminals and armed pussys who think of themselves as LEO's and who's emotions take over their better judgment.

The violent crime statistics in this essay are jaw dropping.

It' a good essay further down. Not my point. Scan the rest of the comments in this thread and notice there is good indication many never got that far solely due to her opening paragraph.

She frequently writes a very anti-crime and pro-police agenda as well as anti-illegal immigration essays.

So you're something akin to a fan? That means you're resistant to my advice; but it's advice worthy of consideration. Explain that opening paragraph that sounds way too disapproving of self defense. It looks like an incrementalist type introduction to whittling away at self defense. (That relates to another discussion I had with EV and so I used it as an example) Pro-police has a tendency to look askance at self-defense at any level for sometimes good reasons For example, police coming on a scene will find it difficult to identify good guys from bad during an ongoing tussle. No police authority on earth wants to confront that dilemma. Still, your have a right to self-defense. This is my longer point neverdem: "progressives" have gotten as far as they have in taking down our rights through incrementally employing "what-if" dilemmas such as that. The ideas expressed in that opening paragraph destroys the urge of many readers to read further. And as you point out, there is good info afterwards. Thus, as an introductory paragraph -- perhaps meant as nothing more than a CYA to her police buddies -- this opening paragraph sucks.

Look, it's not a full-blown anti-gun nor anti-self defense salon piece --it's only in the anteroom so to speak. My criticism was to demonstrate the way incremtalists have been so successful. When "be wary" becomes a bad thing to advise, we are way far gone.
