Toxicology results on Martin?: Skittles, Iced Tea and PCP? I’ve read that there was no evidence of Skittles or Tea at the scene.. Does anyone know the truth about that?

-- Does anyone have the statement they released? --

Only the press. It'll appear to the general public here ... http://www.sao4th.com/.

Typical press report characterization is, "a news conference 'within the next 72 hours' to release new information regarding the investigation."

That's no change from the status quo.

As yet unsaid..If she doesn’t charge him, you can bet that within 24 hours Eric Holder’s DoJ will charge Zimmerman with violating Trayvon’s civil rights..heck..forget 24 hours..how about 24 SECONDS..I bet the documents,a nd the press releases, are already prepared..

How can you have a “fair trial” with phony charges? Wouldn’t the trial itself then be “made up” also?

Yessir. Calm, cool, collected.

Remember during the 1992 riots, the focus and most of the rioting was in LA.

But there was civil unrest in other places as well.

Of course. This prosecutor has the Feds breathing down her neck. Some of you really think she’s not going to file charges for at least something like reckless endangerment? hah
She’s going to file something and let a jury and lawyers deal with it. VERY VERY little courage in politics in this day and age. If any.

She’s gonna charge him.

Either that, or we'll find out that the evidence released by the Town of Sanford was a misleading selection.

Which I think would be darned difficult to pull off, against the interest of the town, etc. So, don't take my remark as "could be" in any more than an academic sense.

http://www.americanthinker.com/2012/04/the_story_unravels_new_questions_about_trayvon_martins_final_hour.html

What about the trip to the 7-Eleven? Some people have speculated that Martin didn’t even go there, that “Skittles” and “tea” were code words for drugs. But Zimmerman does report him holding something, and apparently the can and candy were removed from the crime scene. The story about the Skittles originated with the lawyer for the Martin family, Benjamin Crump. A spokesman for the law office confirmed that the information came from Martin’s girlfriend, and also, he believed, from a call to Tracy Martin. The law office hadn’t corroborated their account by looking at security camera tapes or at an electronic receipt from the store.

But a video does exist. The public relations director of 7-Eleven told me that, according to the company’s manager of security, a store camera captured an African-American male (she wouldn’t commit to “young”) purchasing a bag of Skittles and a can of tea (she wouldn’t say that it was “Arizona” tea). The hard disk with the video was removed after the story broke, and it has been subpoenaed by investigators for the state and/or county. The company has not made it available to the media. The public relations director could not specify the exact time of the purchase but said it was between 6:00 and 6:30.

The 7-Eleven, according to maps.google, is 0.8 miles from the entrance to The Retreat at Twin Lakes, a 16-minute walk. There is not much to see or do on Rinehart Road on a Sunday night, and it was raining hard. Even if he was not bringing the tea and Skittles to his stepbrother but was eating and sipping en route, Martin should have arrived back at his dad’s fiancée’s place before 6:50, and much earlier if he left the store closer to 6:00 than 6:30. According to logs (now deleted from the department’s website), Zimmerman called the Sanford police at 7:09:34

Not conclusively, but I've read a report of a tape from a convenience store, and somebody buying skittles and iced tea. Plus, the original story is most likely traced back to Sanford Police Chief Lee, and I doubt he'd use drug slang in this context.

If he is charged, it will be pure 100% political.

He is going to be charged, and he is going to be convicted. Once he is charged, no juror they impanel will feel or be safe. There will be death threats to the jurors and everyone else involved.

If he's not charged (but he will be), Holder & Company will manufacture a federal offense and come for him.

Zimmerman should be heading for Mexico in the trunk of a car right now if he has any survival instincts.

It was never going to be murder, as there was no intent to do grievous harm.

If there is anything, it was always going to be manslaughter.

I spent today driving back from a funeral in Louisiana. While searching for a station to listen to, I stumbled across a “Black” talk radio show. Hearing the distorted view of this and the angry calls of listeners wanting to take preemptive action against what they view as a rigged system was the most fear inducing thing I have faced. It will not simply be Florida that will erupt. The Liberals have primed this far too well and for far too long.

All hell may break loose on the other side.. AT THE BALLOT BOX IN NOVEMBER, that’s how. Eric Holder’s dereliction of duty allowed this to escalate. And where is Janet Napolitano and her concerns of illegal bounty’s and closing down police stations as ‘domestic terrorism’? CRICKETS.

Goodness are you serious? “New” information is what she’d have to have to charge him because the old information didn’t even meet probably cause. The fact she is saying there is “new” information is an indication that will be the justification why she found probable cause when there was none before she came on board.

Better read the article again. The only one saying there is "new" information is WAPO. The Prosecutor merely states she is going to make an announcement. That could mean anything from dropping the investigation to charges. I am betting there will be no charges since the evidence for a conviction isn't there. No Prosecutor wants to go to trial when they know they will lose.

I used to trust the system to do the right thing, to follow the law. Then I studied FL election law before the Supreme Court of Florida rendered its decision. I was shocked - the highest court had cherry picked the statutes and radically disrupted what could have been an orderly process of settling a close election.

Same sensation in just about any gun case - and recently in Indiana's Castle Doctrine court fisaco.

So, it comes down to Corey's and the state of Florida's commitment to the rule of law. I hope they have it, but I wouldn't bet a nickle they do. Hot cases are decided outside of the law, and then the law is twisted to fit. The state doesn't give a shit about any individual citizen.

The right thing to do is follow the law. The reporting on this case has been upside down from the start. Corey could set it right side up by announcing a finding that Trayvon Martin was in the act of committing aggravated assault when he was killed.

Ordinarily I'd agree with that except...

1) this is a "special prosecutor". And SP's are always dragging things out to justify their own existance and make a career out of a case, and

2) this case is now political. She'll find some portion of the law that will allow her to bring a charge. And then

3) the lawsuit floodgates will open and we'll be treated to a civil case that will make OJ look like a Sunday picnic.

I certainly hope that Zimmerman is seeking asylum in Peru. He's a marked man.

All Hell will break loose no matter what the AG’s announcement is. They’ll riot if she announces there will be no charges, and if there are charges, they’ll riot just like they do when their team wins some championship. For that reason, she should just announce it and not have a big lead-up to it. Do it when they least expect it so they aren’t already gathered.

Quit dickin' around and get started. Get a good handgun, but also a good long gun, too. At least start by going to a range that will rent you a handgun and give instruction.
