Mormon Bishop Mitt Romney’s Anti-Christian Religion

Many naive Americans believe that Mormonism is merely another branch of protestant Christianity. Well that’s not what the founders and leaders of Mormonism believed.

According to its founder, Joseph Smith, and Brigham Young, Smith’s successor, Mormons are the only true people of God on the earth. All non-Mormons and their religions are “wrong, an abomination, blind, damned, of the devil, whores, not Christians, groveling in darkness, heathens, ignorant, devoid of fact, pagan and hatched in Hell.”

When Romney made a speech about his religion in 2008 he refused to distance himself from his faith and fully affirmed his Mormonism. Responding to critics, Romney said,

"They would prefer it if I would simply distance myself from my religion, say that it is more a tradition than my personal conviction, or disavow one or another of its precepts. That I will not do. I believe in my Mormon faith and I endeavor to live by it. My faith is the faith of my fathers - I will be true to them and to my beliefs."

Romney, the father of homosexual marriage in America and abortion funding Romney Care in Massachusetts, flip-flops on virtually every issue, but he is adamant about his anti-Christian Mormonism. Romney needs the vote of Christians to win election, but he refuses to “disavow one or another of its precepts.”

Nor can anyone think Romney is merely a casual or cultural Mormon who just happened to be born Mormon. He is an active Bishop in the Mormon church hierarchy. He cannot pretend to be ignorant of the teaching of Joseph Smith and the other “prophets” of Mormonism.

Below is a list of quotes from Mormon leaders and official publications starting with Joseph Smith down to our day. The message is consistent and clear.

Mormons do not accept homosexuality, and if there is a faith more child oriented, do let me know.

- - - -
Evangelicals, Catholics, and most protestants are more child oriented that Mormons.

And most LDS do accept Homosexuality, if for no other reason than they believe it will lead to the legalization of polygamy which is one of their eternal commandments.

Anyone can make an odd take on the bible, but what is really neon light crazy about LDS is the sci-fi notion of eternal planets. Granted, it was quite imaginative for Smith’s time, but he wasn’t interested in writing riveting fiction. He founded an honest to badness religion.

Perhaps. I still cannot violate my conscience and vote for Mitt. I have been finding strength in Daniel 1, even when under a pagan king, he stood for his faith, no matter the cost. I shall do the same.

In other words, the LDS church opposes gay marriage. Thought I was right. Thanks for the confirmation.

The irony: Official recognition of polygamy would be a far less-bad thing than our “gay marriages.” If Mormons actually believed in their founding documents they’d have nothing to do with “gay marriages.”

If a naked choice between two viable sinners were the same thing as bowing down to the one you chose... you might have a point.

(c) Mom's "health" (whatever that means...distinct from saying "life" of the mother)

The mental health of the mother, such as 'Oh no, I'm pregnant'

There is no bottom-line in Mormonism! There is no bedrock doctrine that cannot be replaced!

Fits with - "EVIL HAS NO BOUNDS"

There isn't even an Ultimate god in Mormonism...Nobody knows who the gods are that were part of the council which appointed the god of this world -- a former man, say Mormons. So there's not even any Ultimate Authority in Mormonism!

It only get worse, the more one reads about Mormonism.

Now any politician who has come out in support of Romney now officially denied God by supporting and promoting godless Romney for our nation. Just as if God was kicked out of the building. May their political tongue shrivel up.

And those who voted for him denied God HIS right place in our country and they can forget their 'God-given rights' - they denied that also. Elections have consequences and I am glad I kept my hands clean, I voted for THE God/Family/Country candidate. And those attacks and lies came from the evil within those who did it.

Don't tell me to slow down nor tell me who my friend IS! I haven't even started yet and NEVER defend the cult of Mormonism to me. EVER! NO ONE can defend godless so don't even try!

So stuff your google! Did the POS initiate same sex marriage in MA or NOT - and don't tell me about 'what the godless accepts'.

If you’re going to lambaste cults, be intellectually honest and include all of them,

How many more does the godless candidate, Romney, who is running for PRESIDENT belong to? You tell us.

#1...go back to your post #30...where on earth is the phrase "gay marriage" there?

You said "promoting homosexuality"...so my response was about "promoting homosexuality"

Don't get all liberal revisionist on us and think you can revise words & phrases re: past posts...So, no, you weren't "right"

#2...So let's deal with this post...where you do manage to have the words "gay marriage" emerge from your keyboard this time around...

The Lds church opposes same-sex marriage in 2012. What makes you assume that will still be the case in 2013?

Is not the Mormon god "shifty?"
Did he not...
...Condemn marriages beyond one-woman, one-man in the 1830 Book of Mormon?
...Only to have Joseph Smith to start "practicing" polygamy with his 17 yo live-in maid, Fanny, in 1831?
...Only to then CHANGE HIS MIND & push polygamy underground in 1890?
...Only to then have his "general authority" Lds servants "solemnize" a couple hundred more plural arrangements between 1890-1910? (See B. Carmon Hardy's book A Solemn Covenant)
...Only to then root it out almost completely by the 1930s?
...Only to then "inspire" Lds apostle Bruce McConkie in his book "Mormon Doctrine" to say that polygamy would be re-instituted when the Mormon jesus returned?
[And don't Lds believe in eternal polygamy -- even if they now eschew earthly polygamy]

Boy! Talk about shifty ambivalence!

IF THE MORMON GOD CAN FLIP-FLOP AND BANDY ABOUT THE INSTITUTION OF MARRIAGE as frequently as that over a 180-year period, then Mitt is just a chip off of the old block!

And, btw, it doesn't end there on social relationships.

Several Mormon sacred books have racist comments about skin color, and blacks were kept out of the Mormon priesthood til 1978. At that point, THE MORMON GOD CHANGED HIS MIND about the priesthood, yet only changed his mind about one of those racist verses in their sacred books -- one in the Book of Mormon -- where he had his "servants" rewrite a word supposedly written in a "gold plate" and then interpreted by the "power of God." The Mormon god told Lds leaders to change the phrase "white and delightsome" to "pure and delightsome."

So the LDS was NOT supporting homosexuality by supporting CA Prop 8. Thanks for clearing that up. You're a real font of knowledge. Good to have you around. Keep up the good work!

There is only one way to find out, and I can wait a few decades to find out.

There is ONLY ONE WAY - Jesus and He already told us everything He knows we need. You can wait all you want and when you find out it will be too late to do anything about what you find out.

According to its founder. . . and Smith’s successor, Mormons are the only true people of God on the earth. All non-Mormons and their religions are “wrong, an abomination, blind, damned, of the devil, whores, not Christians, groveling in darkness, heathens, ignorant, devoid of fact, pagan and hatched in Hell.”

Funny, that is the general opinion of the Orthodox Jews, Catholics and Muslims as well !!. So I don't think I will panic just yet.

Actually I would like to learn about the Mormon method of child rearing and successful , prosperous business building within the framework of the law. When was the last time I heard of a family scandal, shooting or criminal business dealing involving a Mormon? UUmmm . . . quite awhile IF EVER. It is rare to hear of a Mormon scandal of any kind. I would like a track record of well mannered, industrious, God-fearing, successful kids like that as part of my epitaph.

On the other hand reverend write of obama fame - now that man puts some very radical and violent thoughts into the airwaves and his version of religious faith makes me very nervous.

I think you are taking the DNC operatives at CNN & MSNBC much too seriously!

I believe that most of the policies you object to are not taught or supported by the LDS/Mormon church. Indeed, several of them are very much opposed, taught against... by that church. Whatever the source of those policies may be, it does not really appear to be his church.

Newbie, did you sign up to tell us what some Mormons church believe and what 'his' doesn't. How would you happen to have this foundation of knowledge and, also, know what I object to? How about godless?
