Yesterday I attended a meeting of pro-choice colleagues working to ensure women throughout this country get safe, compassionate abortion care. Today, I received an email from one of those colleagues, detailing the ordeal through which she was put by American Airlines on her flights home. They actually forced her to miss her connecting flight and demanded she change her top. The reason? Her politically salient pro-choice t-shirt was offensive to the flight crew.
That sign said: "If I wanted the government in my womb, I'd f*** a senator." ...

We should treat people wearing offensive crap and spewing offensive crap by mocking the mericlessly publicly and literally pointing fingers at them and laughing at the calling them fools.... I guess that is a “hate crime” these days...

PB911 -- I will chalk this up to an evening lapse... The idea of a "social contract" is a liberal construct to create an imagined financial responsibility from those who work to those who do not.
She was spoiling for a fight and got one, but maybe not in the way she expected. And it could have been easier if it had said “have sex with” a senator.

It was the private airline, not the government TSA, who was the heavy here. They don’t have to let you take porn to view on board, for instance. A church wouldn’t have had to let her sit in the pews with that showing. Etc.
She did, but the fix to the problem wasn’t an unreasonable one and it was a public airline with tariffed guarantees and they never have to guarantee a seat. Turning the shirt inside out would have sufficed.

Buying a ticket from an Airline does not give you Carte Blanche to offend your fellow passengers and their children with such a display of disgusting filth.
What a cesspool this country has become. This Media Driven narcissistic “look at me” behavior promoted throughout our Society is like a cancer. I am disgusted how we just shrug off such rudeness that would have been considered outside the realm of acceptable manners when I was growing up.

I’ll clue you in on something. If the pilot says you don’t fly on the plane, then you don’t fly. Start a fuss, be a pain, or whatever: if he says you get off-off you go!
The pilot is the master of the ship and his word is final. I will bet you money that this bitch was told to change the shirt and she created a fuss, so they pitched her.
Airlines haven’t filed tariffs since the Civil Aeronautics Board was abolished in the ‘70s. When you buy a ticket you have a Contract of Carriage with the airline. You pretty much follow their rules or you don’t fly. If you are particularly obnoxious, an airline is free to ban you for life.
