In the last few weeks, President Barack Obama has reached out to military voters with the aim of slicing away pieces of what has been a reliable part of the Republican base.

The most recent Wall Street Journal/NBC poll shows that presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney leads Obama among military voters, but by eight percent. That single-digit difference is significant and it follows on the heels of other polls showing Obama performing well among veterans, particularly veterans who served in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Can's imagine how any military person or veteran can possibly vote for the most anti-military president in our history.

More detail in the WSJ article, to which the above article provides a link.

Since I have members of my family and friends in the military, I have a hard time wrapping my head around any military person supporting BHO over anyone.

Good luck with that, Skippy. He MAY get some Black military to vote for him but that’s about it.

He has the Navy “barrel boys” Army “barracks buggerers” Marine “Semper felatios” and Air Force “arse aces” in his corner.

Add to that the commies and Islamonazies in uniform and he has a chance;)

42% of military voters support Obama.

I can’t imagine why, but this seems to be the case.

Some of those near Fort Campbell noted that the defense budget cuts proposed by the Obama administration may make a career in the military harder to realize for young soldiers. They may ultimately mean more base closures and there have been rumblings from Republicans that schools on military bases may be cut.

All of which is to say that the Obama campaign might see a target of opportunity in the military vote,

Once again we see the insanity of the communist agenda "liberal progressive" thought process.

Only in their delusional version of reality does such "logic" of cutting throats and then perceiving that as an "opportunity" to gather votes make sense.

There is no cure for "liberal progressive" insanity.

42% of military voters support Obama.

To be more precise, a poll claims that 42% of military voters support Obama.
Probly best not to confuse a poll with reality.

I’ll believe it when they don’t screw around with the military vote for this election.

Yeah, that would be an interesting conundrum for the rats.
Suppress the military vote that might (although highly unlikely) have votes for Obozo, or just throw them away like they usually do.

I think it’s probably safe to say that even zero doesn’t believe his own bullshit here. This is cover for whatever military ballot fraud chicanery they have cookin up.

(1) Laying the groundwork for masasive fraud? Check.

(2) Military people not willing to commit career suicide by saying they’d vote against obastard to some anonymous caller? Check.

It could be that military voters are similar to other voters in that some of them don’t see the big picture. They see the wars winding down, and that is good because troops get to go home—a relatively personal, shallow point of view, although we all wish them safely home.

They miss seeing the harm of defense cuts to our national security, which is more abstract.

How they can miss the endangerment to our troops by the blowing of our intelligence networks for campaigning purposes and the murderous changes to the rules of engagement is beyond me. That’s not as abstract.
