So for anybody who is thinking of not voting because your favorite didn’t get nominated, or writing in a candidate who can't win ... just imagine this possibility:

Given his statements this week on Illegals, I expect no measurable difference, and I expect that Romney will usher in some type of Amnesty.

There should be zero tolerance from anyone calling themselves conservatives on the issue of Illegal Immigrations.

A question for you: Given Romney's documented behavior of both switching positions on the issues to fit whatever political situation he finds himself in and given Romney's documented serial character trait of lying both about his own Progressive Liberal record and the records of his Republican competitors, why would you believe any policy position he is stating right now or any promise?

You took a generalized statement by Norm Lenhart concerning formerly principled conservatives who change when they start supporting lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberals like Mitt Romney ("In the last several months I have seen support for gay marriage and euthanasia, border fence advocates told they want dead Mexican kids, Men called perverts, Palin called everything under the sun including one very specific ‘implication’ she was a prostitute and a bunch more.") and twist it into some crap about how from that statement we can infer that Norm would believe some crap about Sarah?

There is no logic in your post. There is no connecting your post with what Norm stated and what Norm stated was the truth.

Romney is running a great campaign, I'll give him that, however it means nothing.
We have seen Romney even in the last weeks, flip and flop. The supporters who are conservative will have a harder and harder time supporting him, because their delusion will begin to disintegration, their anger will increase. That anger must be directed somewhere, it will be towards those who have stood and not capitulated.

I do not fear BHOK. I intensity dislike his policies, if I met him I might dislike him but I do not know for sure.
My sadness revolves around the way we have lost our way. I firmly believe the USA foundation was a great gift from God. The founders believed and I agree that they were doing God’ Will. My Mother passed away in 1959, when I was eleven. Before she died she told me that she believed a time would come when people would turn away from the foundation of the country and the government would want total and absolute control - she warned be vigilant, be aware, never give in and protect my siblings. I am sad she may have been correct.

Actually, svcw, I believe that the ABO's can be divided into two distinct camps:

1. Those who are truthfully letting a fear of Obama drive them to voting for a lying, left-wing, Progressive Liberal because he is a "Lessor of two evils"
2. Those who are actual POP or Party over Principle and have no true fidelity to Conservative principles but will compromise one, or more of their vocal conservative principles, usually more, because those principles are not really principles, but more like guidelines.

One needs to go no further than your point #1 to find a deliberate lie, that Romeny created gay marriage in Massachusetts.

Here are the facts:

Same-sex marriage in Massachusetts began on May 17, 2004, as a result of the Supreme Judicial Court of Massachusetts ruling in Goodridge v. Department of Public Health that it was unconstitutional under the Massachusetts constitution to allow only heterosexual couples to marry. Romney had nothing to do with that and fought it.

In fact, Romney launched the “superslate” campaign in 2004, based on the idea that the state Republican Party could use Conservative ideals and family values as a wedge issue and gain seats, spending millions of Romney's own dollars and personally campaigning for Republican candidates in traditionally Democratic seats. Despite his efforts, the Republican party lost three seats in the 2004 election. Since then, many legislators have changed their views to reflect growing support for same-sex marriage among their constituents.

Romney promoted a Constitutional amendment to prohibit same sex marriage, but the state legislators failed to back him up on it. One of the original sponsors of the amendment to ban same-sex marriage and legalize civil unions, Brian Lees, said, “Gay marriage has begun, and life has not changed for the citizens of the commonwealth, with the exception of those who can now marry.

He spent millions of his own money fighting it. What did you do, except lie about it?
